Bay of Sighs

Typical NR story with interesting and entertaining characters. Supernatural elements well integrated. I buy romance novels for the escapism. Some violence is de rigeur these days, but beating, stabbing and electrocuting a maim character while electrocuting another was just too much.

Loved the story and characters but hated the performance. The accents that the performer used were distracting and didn't give credence to the characters. I read the first book the old-fashioned way. I' ll do that for part 3.

A great change of pace. Interesting story, we'll written. I love the characters.The narration is very well done.

I recently discovered this book. I love the narrator, Saskia Maarleveld. I listen to a lot of audibles. I love Julia Whelan, Mary Jane Wells, and Keleo Griffith. Saskia Maarleveld is now on the favorites list. I was looking for something different as I waited for the next In Death Book. So glad I found this trilogy. The books need to be read in order.I actually like that. It is interesting that although the characters are around the same age, they appear to be different ages in terms of how they are treated by the group.That was an interesting dynamic to me. I enjoyed the plot, characters, action, and surprises of each character. I have re-listened to the books multiple times. It was worth the credit IMO.

Read the first in the trilogy and looking forward to the final book. Nora has kept the characters interesting and action coming. Love it

I listened to the complete story and if I had not purchased this on a two for one sale, I would have returned it. In a nutshell, Nora Roberts does a good job of keeping the sex on a low * level but I found the sex talk from the little mermaid - and I can't even remember her name, was so juvenile that I could barely take her banter. Granted, she had very little experience with the human world but having to listen to the same prepubescent blah-blah-blah was really annoying. For me it took away from the story to the point this book became background noise. I will not be buying the third book in the sequel.

I usually wait until all three books are available for a trilogy but after the first book I couldn't wait. And I was right. Amazing story, characters andphenomenal narrator.Almost wish there were more to the storyline than just three!

Nora Roberts is out doing herself on this trilogy! I have waited and waited for second book Bay of Sighs to come out and I am thrilled! Far more intrigue and suspense than most of her trilogy's.Yes, you do know who is going to hook up next and that is normal but the story is so far one of her best! Saskia Maarleveld is really challenged in second book with all of the new characters introduced! She does a great job! She is one of my favorite narrators for Nora Roberts books!
