This series follows Momoko a girl who was born from a giant peach. She is an accomplished sword fighter and travels with three companions; Inugami, the dog god, Sarugami the monkey god and Kijigami, the pheasant god. When she fights she combines with one of these three and becomes significantly more powerful. Momoko is joined by a group of Celestial Maidens in the search for fragments of the Michimi Peach… an object of great power that is also being searched for by the Oni, a demon race, and a scientist each of whom has different plans for it. During their search Momoko meets Onihime; an Oni princess who immediately becomes Momoko's rival. It seems that each anime season features under-dressed, large-breasted girls fighting and this is this season's example. If you don't like that sort of thing then this isn't for you but if you like it, or just aren't put off by it, it is fairly fun. The characters are entertaining although antagonist Onihime somewhat steals the show in her scenes. There is a fair amount of action although no one will think anybody is in real danger. The characters are well designed and the animation is pretty good. The story is entertaining enough not exactly deep… in fact if it wasn't for the fact that the cast is scantily dressed it would be suitable for younger viewers. This fan service isn't too extreme; bouncing breasts and skimpy clothing rather than nudity or blatant sexual content. Overall this is a fairly fun series but hardly must see.
