Professional Wrestling went through an incredible boom period during this time with WCW airing on TNT and WWF Raw airing on the USA Network, fans were spoilt for choice with both shows eventually putting on great shows while trying to gain the lead in the TV ratings. It's the night after Royal Rumble 1997 over on the WWF channel and Bret Hart has a lot to say. The Hitman blames his problems on Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Vince McMahon and the WWF as a whole. On this episode of Raw, Bret quits the WWF... but Gorilla Monsoon presents a match to Bret that The Hitman can't refuse. Elsewhere on the show, Stone Cold Steve Austin battles The Undertaker. WCW are gearing up for Clash of the Champions XXXIV and nWo Souled Out, the nWo's very own Pay Per View. Hollywood Hogan is scheduled to take on The Giant at Souled Out, and The Giant tries to get his big hands on Hogan on this week's episode of Nitro.
