So guys, the fight between Teofimo Lopez and Josh Taylor occurred on June 10, 2023, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. This highly anticipated bout was for Taylor's WBO Super Lightweight title and marked a significant clash between two elite fighters. Lopez, known for his explosive power and charisma, Lopez came into the fight with a record of 18-1 and with intentions to cause an upset and take Taylor's title. Josh Taylor: Taylor, with an undefeated record of 19-0, was the reigning WBO Super Lightweight champion and former undisputed champion in the division. In the early rounds, Taylor did have some success as he started fast and landed a few telling shots on Lopez. However as the fight progressed towards the middle rounds, Lopez began to find his rhythm and took over the fight. The fight was extremely entertaining and it was worth the watch. I think Lopez is skillful but he doesn't really get enough credit for his abilities. I believe this is because of his slightly brash character, his loss to Kambosos, and an uninspiring performance against Sandor Martin. But guys remember Lopez is the only one that actually beat Lomachenko tactically. Salido was low-blowing all the time and Haney straight up lost. Anyway people Teofimo Lopez will be fighting today in Miami, defending his WBO Super Light weight belt against Steve Claggett. I'm going to stay up for this one and I'm for Lopez on this one.
