William Michener presents on the evolving research landscape in the twenty-first century using examples from biodiversity, ocean health, and ISC initiatives to offer guidance on best practices for effectively creating data products that can be used across disciplines to further discovery and use. William Michener is Professor and Director of e-Science Initiatives at the University of New Mexico’s College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences. He directs New Mexico’s National Science Foundation (NSF) and Department of Energy EPSCoR (Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) Programs and the Data Observation Network for Earth (DataONE).
