DX, consisting of Triple H, Chyna, X-Pac and The New Age Outlaws, were tasked with bringing the fight straight to WCW's doorstep and the whole thing was shown on TV. With a jeep (or a tank as the WWE likes to tell us) and a ton of artillery, D-Generation X drove to the Norfolk Scope to invade WCW. The mission was to travel to Nitro, try and get the P.O.W.C.Ws released (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall), and make their way back to WWF Raw after the mission had been completed. The clips of DX invading WCW proved to be a massive success, and the WWF decided to do it all again when D-Generation X visited the CNN Centre just 2 weeks later. Eric Bischoff decided he had to retaliate and take the focus away from DX. On WCW Nitro, Eric answered by challenging Vince McMahon to a fight at WCW Slamboree 1998. Vince declined the invitation, and many believe that Eric's challenge felt more desparate than enteratining.
