Workshops @SGTU

Motivational Speaker and Founder and CEO of Tyrelesly and TechAPTO, Mister Anubhav Wadhwa presented an inspirational speech on 'Entrepreneurship Thoughts' at SGT university which struck the right notes with the audience. His in-depth analysis of various aspects of business and entrepreneurship were quite thought provoking and noteworthy.

CEO and President of Jphiego, Dr. Leslie Mancuso along with Dr. Bulbul Sood- India Country Director Jphiego, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Singh- National Program Manager Jphiego and Indrani Kashyap - Communications Specialist, Asia Region, Jphiego along with INC President, Dr. T.Dileep Kumar visited SGTU and National Reference Simulation Centre. Nursing students and Faculty felt very motivated after talking with Dr Leslie Mancuso.

Ask any middle class or any average Indian household about inverters in their homes and in all probability their story will definitely feature the name Su-Kam. This is the goodwill the company has earned over the years....and the man behind this giant company is Kunwer Sachdev. So, needless to mention when Mr. Sachdev came visiting SGT university, and talked about his life struggles and the efforts he put behind the making of the brand Su-Kam....it made for a highly interactive and engrossing conversation. Everyone enjoyed every bit of the words he spoke....SGT presents a hearty speech by the "'solar man of India''- Kunwer Sachdev.

An oral health workshop which included a talk, oral hygiene demonstrations and oral health check-up was organised by Department Of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences at KIIT World School, Bhondsi. The activity was led by Dr Abhinav Bhargava (Senior Lecturer), Dr Ankita (Tutor) and Dr Tanvi (Post Graduate) and 5 interns. Mr. Jitender from Student Outreach Section, SGT University also accompanied the team. The first part of the workshop included oral health talk and demonstration of brushing techniques for both junior and senior class students. The students were then called upon to demonstrate the same to their classmates to reinforce the techniques and give them hands on exposure. The second part of the activity consisted of oral health check-up for all the students from 1st Class 1 to 9th Class. Around 280 students were screened and given oral health education to make them realise importance of oral health and lay foundation of good oral health in their future.

The students are exploring their culinary skills in the Advanced training kitchen under the guidance of chef Madan of FHTM Faculty. The students are making many interesting and mouth-watering dishes.

Indian Ocean is an Indian rock band, widely recognized as the pioneers of the fusion rock genre in India regaled a packed house on 1 June 18 at HT Friday Jam, an Hindustan Times event where SGT UNIVERSITY, Gurugram is the EDUCATION PARTNER. The musical style of the band can be at best classified as folk and fusion music. It is an experimental genre, fusing raga (traditional Indian tunes) with rock music, guitars and drums, sometimes using Indian folk songs. The students and faculty of SGT UNIVERSITY has worked very hard with HT to make the event a grand success. The Jam continues for 6 Fridays beginning 25 June.

AURA-2019 ….SGT’s Annual Management Fest kickstarted with the inaugural speech from Dr. Gurpreet Singh Tuteja and Dr. Tara Shankar. They emphasised the importance of such fest in the college life of students. AURA , the two day management fest was a carnival of talents. Music, dance, face painting and poster making competition, nail art, extempore and many other activities filled up the two day event. More than 25 schools and colleges participated and the show was a grand success……We hope and look forward to the next season and wait for its return …..

Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management, SGT University conducted a workshop on European Cuisine for the students. Star Chef Jagdeep conducted the workshop and have all the practical knowledge to the students related to European Cuisine. The workshop was very interesting as students learned a different cuisine altogether.

SGT University conducted a workshop on Flower Arrangement for the students of the Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management. Mr. Kali Charan Jana conducted the workshop and students got many insights from the workshop. The bouquet making techniques were taught live to the students which made the session very interactive and interesting.
