In this Muay Thai technique breakdown, I work with professional Muay Thai fighter Ryan Moore to demonstrate how to slip a punch, crash inside and smother an opponent's attacks. Using Superbon's defensive tactics against Marat Grigorian as an example, we break down the mechanics of changing levels, slipping underneath punches and closing the distance to prevent an aggressive puncher from continuing their attack. We then put the technique into practice through live situational drilling, with one fighter applying forward pressure and the other looking to defend, manage distance and find opportunities to crash in and smother.
