With the introduction of The Outsiders in WCW, this mantra came to fruition. However, there seems to be exceptions to every rule when it comes to Eric Bischoff, because he also decided to create The Glacier character, a character he thought would be big money. The WCW debut of Glacier was but on hold as the nWo storyline took over WCW programming in mid 1996. This didn't stop WCW constantly airing vignettes and hype videos regarding the debut of this Sub Zero inspired character. In maybe a case of too much hype, Glacier eventually made his debut on TV screens and the similarities to another huge selling franchise at the time were really hard to miss. Soon after his debut, Glacier would begin feuding with Mortis and Wrath in a storyline dubbed "Blood Runs Cold", and in a reality based WCW, things didn't go quite the way Eric Bischoff envisioned.
