It follows the story of Wrestling Bios Presents - WWF Mayhem in Manchester - VHS Review In late 1997, the WWE presented a UK exclusive Pay Per View named One Night Only. It was succesful, giving UK fans a taste of what makes WWF PPV shows so exciting. Shortly after WrestleMania XIV, the WWE were all set to deliver another UK exclusive PPV named "Mayhem in Manchester". As it turned out, due to a dispute over profit sharing with the venue, the show did not make it's way to TV screens. The WWF didn't even bother bringing it's world class production team to Mayhem in Manchester. What was supposed to be a big UK pay per view turned into a standard house show. WWF had promoted the event in the weeks leading up to the event, and to gain back some of their losses, it was decided that the show would be recorded and sold as a home video release. What we have then is a show recorded on hand held cameras, mixed with a ton of questionable audio and editing. None of the matches on the WWF Home Video are complete, some wrestlers even wore the incorrect ring attire. In short, WWF Mayhem in Manchester was quite a mess.
