Ok, not Nick's best movie, but still worth watching. The acting is good enough and the action as well. I pretty much like any Nicolas Cage movie, have seen them all. In this day and age of guns and terrorism, it is plausible to have a similar real life event. We did have an actual terrorism related incident in Sydney Australia, some terrorist took over a cafe, had some hostages and eventually the "SWAT" lot moved in and it went horribly wrong resulting in a couple of innocent people getting killed. Personally, I liked the way it unfolded, and ended. It could have been a bit longer to warp it up a bit better.

This movie is a 1 raised to a 5 by Nicolas Cage. The writing and directing are a joke. The story is basic and okay, it is the actual lines that are written that are embarrassing, I would swear a 14 year old with zero life experience wrote it. Unfortunately, Shackleton had just enough family money and influence to make this. It is saved a little by the fact that Cage can do a lot without any directing. The other participants, can't call them actors, really needed some direction and just didn't get it. So I beg you, York (yes, that is his name, you know, like the peppermint pattie) I beg you take all that family money and "hard earned snowboarding money" and donate it to a charity, you are just not talented enough to use it properly.

Although some of the acting in this movie isn't great its not the worst either. Don't have a clue why the ratings are so low. Maybe because of Nic Haters but none the less there isn't much we can do about it. Except for watching the movie and enjoying it yourself. Watch it its not as bad as the ratings say it is :)

In this movie (which I know is fictional) cops seem so incompetent/ can't shoot!!! It was so unrealistic I was actually hurting an stoped watching! NO NO NO..If the movie is lacking in substance don't just fill it with mindless shoothing (where every one misses)....just don't make it! And a 1 star is to much..

Its not much to tell about this movie,its a failed bank heist,desperate patrol policemen,and like the norwegian police,a very slow reacting,toothlss swat team operation(i was asked by another reviewer to elaborate what i meant about the norwegian delta's,well ive chaged a little in my review,and to the one feeling insulted/hurt,believe it or not its just a film review). the production can't have used the cosultancy and knowledge retired swat officers could bring to the plot....a really bad storyline by the way,nesting together a bunch of stray stories into a melting pot. there are a few blasts,in slomo naturally,to make the film last a bit longer.,the shooting scenes are boringand with 8 hits among 2000 rounds fired,the cast gets leveled on c. nicholas cage gives some sense to this feature,he saves it even with his wide experience in b and c movies lately,so welcome back,mr.cage. its like a copycat of the l.a north hollywood shoot out,which happened in the late 1990's,which have been made documentaries and biographical movies about. there are some entrtainment,but it is slow paced.4 for cage +2 for the rest, sum of 6......
