First of all, allow me to apologize for any grammar mistake in my comment. Second, I'm from Romania (Eastern Europe) where our situation in the country is very alike the idea of the movie. Our government is making so many mistakes, trying effortlessly to justify them by social media, TV channels or any kind of press release that they have direct interest to influence peoples opinions. I was touched at the end of the movie when they presented the actual facts. I was delighted by the actors performances. I kindly recommend you to watch this masterpiece, hoping you'll understand what real journalism is all about: searching and publishing the truth!

Shockingly Awful is terrible. In fact, it is so bad that this film earns my barnacle encrusted Anchor of Shame as being the worst film of the year! What's wrong with this propaganda film? Well, it's a propaganda film that is loaded with politically motivated rhetoric while missing several key components...like a well-written story and plot just to name two. I wish that I could post a toilet emoji because, as the old saying goes, a picture says a thousand words. On a positive note, the acting wasn't half-bad which, given such weak material, is actually quite impressive so they shouldn't be held responsible for this titanic disaster. In the end, I recommend renting All the President's Men if you're wanting to experience a good film about investigative journalism. Only rent Shock and Awe if you've been extremely bad and wanting to punish yourself. It's that bad.

Whether you like the film or not the fact remains there where no WMD and it was a pretence to War and the world has never been the same since, if a government can lie about one thing then they can lie about anything - open your eyes people. The way i look at the movie is regardless whether jessica biel is there for the pretties is that future generations will be made aware of what happened and what led up to the war in iraq, iran and afghanistan War and the "War on terror" which includes North West Pakistan, Somalia and Syria. It also shows why they want to stop free speech and alternative media, and control social media. Watch and listen and then do your own research.

A most disappointing so called "movie." Really just nothing more than mess. A waste of time and money. It seems to me that Rob Reiner has jumped on board the 'Hollywood" boat that is fast sinking. Hopefully he will come to his senses and stay away from such tactics and return to doing "real" movies. I'm tired of wasting my money on flops like this... this is my last Rob Reiner movie.

Up until this week I was a Democrat and I've always had my doubts about both parties and Hollywood as well as the media has made me shift my views. This film represents pure propaganda to insight anger amongst the viewers. Multiple facts glossed over and spun to promote an anti American and anti capitalist viewpoint. 1/10 Hollywood doesn't understand why less and less people are going to the movies anymore. Politics must always find a way to seep into films now and days, if you want knowledge on these matters just read the true story.

Bush couldn't have tossed an easier slow pitch for a movie maker to attack when it comes to this subject. Everyone argued and had opinions on how we invaded Iraq and why. This movie presents things as fact that are not able to be backed up through records, and what leg they do have to stand on for this story, is presented like they are trying to tell a 6th grade class what to think. Its like a bunch of people got together with exaggerated a made up storied, then someone was oblivious enough to believe them and fall for it, then made this movie. I walked out of the theater and deserve a refund.

Important film!! Great director and actors. Not just for democrats.

Ok, how did this movie manage to get made, let alone released? The information contained confirms all that I have learned in the last ten years regarding the illegal war in Iraq. Therefore, the huge majority of the world's population were "duped" by George Bush and Tony Blair. Watch the documentary "We are Many", the biggest mobilisation of protest ever witnessed which tried to avert WAR. How many people died in vain? Another great "Victory" for western powers based on lies as was the Vietnam debacle. Human disgrace, inhumanity, greed and degradation perpetrated by the monsters we elected into office! I have only written two reviews. This one is of far more importance and everyone should see this movie to question the official narrative. All governments lie all the time. All media is controlled to enable governments to do ANYTHING they want. Do yourself a favour and check out the history of the 20th Century. History is written by the "Victors" and it ain't what they told you at school. I think "Shock and Awe" is a great movie in every respect although it is delivered in a reserved manner almost as if the actors involved were afraid to be too passionate. I guess they dumbed down in fear of the movie not seeing the light of day? As it is, the content is more than enough to bring about the downfall of "Governments". PROFITEERING MURDERERS AND WARMONGERS!
