"Married to a Murderer" (a.k.a., "Splitting Image") is an unpleasant viewing experience with little plausibility in the main character relationship. Emma is preparing to marry Teddy when she first meets his twin, Frankie. The secret lives of the twins bubbles quickly to the surface and derails Emma's much anticipated wedding. By the end of the first scene, it apparent that Frankie is bad news when he gets into a fight at a party in the home of Emma and Teddy. Emma should have realized the disturbing nature of Frankie's behavior and asked him to leave. Instead, she forgives him, visits him at his home, and allows him to ruin her life. Frankie is also responsible for removing from the script two of Emma's best friends, including her loyal assistant Chase and her bestie, Becca. Even when she is warned about the twins by Marcus, the business partner of the mother of the twins, Emma refusing to heed the advice. Both Frankie and Teddy were creepy characters. By the midpoint of the film, it was clear that Emma was hopelessly inept in recognizing that her engagement was heading for disaster. As the audience, we can only wait for the train wreck to occur in climactic scene that occurs on the wedding day. By the end of the day, Emma has a case of wedding bell blues that is colored blood red.

This film, Splitting Image, also known as I Married a Murderer, was a departure from the normal Lifetime fare I've seen. It's really a horror movie. It stars real twin brothers, Aaron and Austin Arnold, which is interesting. When you first start watching it, it's the usual slow Lifetime thing and a typical story, about a bad twin and a good twin. But as someone said, give this movie a chance because it does turn into sort of a horror movie, and we are left with some mysteries. This means revealing spoilers: Why was Emma smiling when she looked down the staircase and onto the floor? And what the heck was she so happy about at the end of the movie? I mean, let's face it, either way we're talking bad seed here. Then I started to think about it, and I wondered if maybe she didn't care, she had been after something else all along. Two big questions: was Emma pregnant at the beginning of the movie or not? Did she sleep with Frank? I was only able to get the last hour on tape - I was interrupted a couple of times during the first hour, so I couldn't tell if she was pregnant or just denying it for some reason. She seemed in a pretty big rush to walk down the aisle. The point is, I might be seeing more than there was. Also, it was badly directed, obviously, and unclear. But Intriguing.

Saw this movie on Lifetime, and it has some of the most disturbing scenes I've seen on TV in awhile. It starts out weird and just gets creepier and creepier until everyone is stabbing each other to death in the end. Not for the faint of heart, but if you want a crazy, intense low-budget thriller, check it out.

Was one of them supposed to be the good twin? There was a scene in the beginning where she did the classic hold-your-belly signal that movies use to indicate a woman is pregnant. She ends up sleeping with both...and does it again at the end. Both are creeps but only one is a murderous creep? Being an accomplice to murder (aka burying the body and tampering with evidence) is a thing. This movie is exhibit A for why Lifetime twin movies do too much. She KNOWS he has a twin. Drunk or not...you don't know your husband's body? I am at the climax and I still don't think she realizes it. I'd say even soap operas finesse these types of plot lines better. How is all of this happening with wedding guests and an antsy wedding coordinator around? Why isn't she screaming for help and banging on windows for the people on the lawn?! Why did she try to save one of them? The movie did have a spooky vibe, I'll give it that, but as another reviewer said, I don't think they actually cleared anything up. The movie tries the open-ending, cliffhanger "who's baby is it?" ending, but not only are they both dead, but they were both as bad as each other, so I just don't know what the takeaway was supposed to be. Either way, the baby has a psychopath for a father.

This was great. Really weird, but I loved it. Same director as The Wrong Son, which premiered earlier this summer. This one is weirder than that, but it's really good and full of shocking moments. Check it out!

This isn't one of the better Lifetime thrillers. There have been better twin movies. The twins are played by real life twins who both look a bit creepy so there isn't the necessary good and bad twin distinction that would make this mo ie work. The story is weak and the acting is amateurish. The grand finale is horrible and messy. Don't bother.

This was a straight up horror movie on Lifetime. I applaud them for pushing the boundaries beyond their typical cheesy affairs. This one had cool style, and it got really intense. Would love to have this one on Blu-Ray if it gets a release.
