Mind talker is an unknown, surprisingly good must see movie. This movie is the perfect blend of Detective Story meets Sci-fi action movie. Director Minh Nguyen is a fantastic storyteller, he'll have you on the edge of your seat. The story is well told by it's director. The actors are spot on with their performances. This low-budget movie seems like the production spent millions of dollars rather then 100s of thousands of dollars, true movie making magic. If you like movies with thrilling action and a great story, you'll love this little hidden gem. If you're a defective story or Sci-fi fan then this is a movie you must see. This movie is worth every penny a cult classic to be.

As you watch this movie it slowly dawns on you that you are watching something totally unique. Grab a drink and some of your favorite food and enjoy the drama unfold. It has a very raw realism, I'm guessing shot run and gun in order to get that feel.

Mind Talker is a very inspired and highly original movie. The performances are captivating and the sets, filters and bgm are awesome. Mind Talker is proof that to make a great movie one doesn't need to splurge millions; once the right inspiration, skills and people come together, all pieces just fall into place.

Obviously this is a low budget movie but with the minimal resources they had they told a fun and fantastic story. The characters were all well defined, the theme of the human condition was addressed in such a mind opening way and the locations were beautiful. Overall it was great. The twist at the end was perfect! If you are into low budget Indies that are fun to watch I highly recommend this one!

Anyone who gives this movie more than a 3 must have been in the movie.... Sorry, this movie was sooo bad, I stopped paying attention and eventually turned it off.....

The of a detective with newfound powers of telepathy meshes nicely with themes of religion and science fiction. Taylor Jed Martin delivers an impressive performance, as do the supporting actors. Kudos to the director for his stylish eye and great location scouting. There is a great conceit unraveling in this movie, I wouldn't want to say more than that but everything lines up because of that. The pacing could be a little tighter in places but overall it's entertaining and and a promising concept with a good world to build off of.

The writing is very clever, if you think about making a low budget film, the the story is what drives the film. Some key scenes are brilliant with deep dialogue. I enjoyed the plot very much. Probably when the filmmakers get the opportunity to shine, they will do so. I love the guy playing detective Ben Stone, a very mature and intense performance. His cop side kick also did an amazing job. The direction was well executed. Maybe a little slow at the beginning, but once it gets going, you stay until the end to figure it all out. Power of the mind, this movie will talk to you.

Baby boomers, Gen-Y and older are the generations that typically search for complicated plots, overt acting, and other outdated aspects of entertainment which are no longer glorified in the Millennial/Gen-Z dominated media of today. That being said, the above average acting, uniquely exquisite locations, and an almost retro-fashioned style of editing, the movie is surprisingly enjoyable. The thematic elements of over-sexualization of asian women is addressed (character: "Claire") along with warped, or heavy-set, beauty standards deemed typically unconventional (characters: "Nova" / "Ruby"). The protagonist (character: "Ben/Ted") carries the aura of a charming, relatable, cis-gendered, standard male, yet takes form without the cocky bravado older generations are used to exalting. If you're interested in a refreshing take on a psychological thriller, spend an evening with Mind Talker.

Watch the campy acting throughout the preview before you invest any time into this ultra low budget film school production. Not much is good in this film as I didn't make it further than 15 mins before bailing out.
