THE BODY REVIEW :- Thriller is one of the most exciting genre because you get to see something thrilling which might blow your mind, doesn't matter if it's not entertaining enough and taking some time. The Body directed by Jeetu Joseph is a mystery thriller revolving around a Murder and the conflicts around it. With several conflicts and turnaround moments it keeps you hooked for those 2 hours and gives a satisfaction of watching a average Thriller. When the body of a powerful businesswoman Maya Verma (Sobhita Dhulipala) disappears from the morgue, the inspector Jairaj (Rishi Kapoor) in charge hunts for the truth. But when he questions her husband Dev Verma (Emraan Hashmi) he realizes that there is much more to the case than meets the eye and the chilling drama is followed later. The 4th main character of the is Ritu played by Vedhika and how she is involved in this murder mystery is a real thing to watch in the film. The narrative here is short and that's why impactful even though it looks slightly predictable at the end. Most of the thriller lovers can find it decent because of that predictable portion and if you're not one of them then the Climax might blow you away. A tight screenplay is spoiled by the songs in the middle and most of them have slow melody and typical romantic theme which looks totally unnecessary in Mystery films. Acting wise Emraan Hashmi gets an acting Oriented role after a long time and it's pleasing to see him doing such roles convincingly. Rishi Kapoor as Inspector is Good anyways, and that was quite expected. Sobhita adds enough glamour, hotness and intensity with her presence whereas Vedhika looks cute as hell. Musically The Body is promising but as a Music Album only, not video in the screenplay. That 2 hours runtime could have been shortened and could be made more pacy without songs. Dialogues, Cinematography and Background Music are supportive enough. Director Jeetu Joseph has definitely made a decent thriller but at the same time he missed the opportunity of making even better one. Thankfully it doesn't have loopholes in the storytelling and doesn't take too much time to get to the suspense parts. Overall it's an Average thriller with good performances by actors and well crafting by the director. The Body has a Soul in it's writing and that is enough to give it a watch with lower expectations. RATING- 5/10*

Hard to believe, The director made Drishyam and this movie. Poor acting by everyone especially by Emran Hashmi and the jokers around him Shobhita and other girl who played role of Ritu. The only good part of the movie is the locations in Mauritius, that it. Rest is crap.

The direction is soo poor! How does this movie have such high rating? I wonder if the reviewers really watched the same movie.

The story had some juice to it but direction has made this movie a bummer . Talented actors like Rishi kapoor and Imran hashmi are looking clueless in most of their scenes. None of the characters excite and plot is super dull too. So pls do not watch n waste your time.

The Body is an adaptation of a Spanish film by the same name. It's a crime thriller wherein Emraan Hashmi, who plays the husband, is under the scanner for the murder of his Rich wife (Shobhita Dhulipala). Rishi Kapoor, plays a cop who has a strong feeling that Emraan has killed his wife and decides to unravel the truth. A Crime thriller ends up as a boring saga wrapped up within the walls of a hospital from where Shobhita's body disappears. There is nothing new and interesting to hold the interest of the audience. Screenplay is spoiled by the songs in the middle and most of them have slow melody and typical romantic theme which looks totally unnecessary in Mystery films. Overall it's an Average thriller with good performances by actors. Watch it with lower expectations.

Film is a masterpiece loved every bit of it!! Emraan hashmi acted well but rishi kapoor was outstanding .... Vedika Kumar is very pretty girl and shobita also acted well . Every character was played really well and movie is well engaging throughout.

Story is good but poor execution, bad choice of actors, poor dialogues.
