A wonderful heartbreaking film that should be mandatory viewing . Well done to the makers and how brave of the survivors.it traverses the pain and the tragedy with compassion and empathy and demonstrates the evil of the perpetrators. It is so important to watch because it shows how evil is committed so easily . It shows why evil must be stopped so this can never be repeated. There are no words to express the heartbreak and the bravery of both the massacred and the survivors. Their pain and trauma will never pass. Somehow they must find within them the will to bear witness and carry on. That must be daily challenge.

This movie is a complete disaster from start to finish. The seen doesn't make sense, the interviews like picked out from garbage, the plot makes no sense, the acting is painfully bad, and the dialogue feels like it was written by someone who's never had a conversation in real life. The pacing is so slow that every minute feels like an eternity, and the special effects look like they belong in a low-budget 90s TV show. Not to mention, the characters are so unlikeable that by the end, you're rooting for the villain just so it will all be over. Easily one of the worst films I've ever had the misfortune of watching.

Considering the subject matter you'd think they'd be careful to avoid cliches but it's very ott dramatic in every aspect. The pacing is off and certain scenes are drawn out artificially long for dramatic effect which makes the whole film seem quite a bit like an after school special. There is a lot of repetitive dialogue and visuals that seem intended to evoke a one note emotional response rather than truly informing or inspiring or impressing. The deliberately dark lighting used in a lot of the scenes also adds to a feeling of overdone suburban high school playacting through out. Also the lack of skill in any of the shown music or dancing detracts from the charming message.

I really don't think all the positive reviews I have seen here were true. It's a film with poor scenography and photography, in some passages it's clearly surreal and even naive. The acting of the actors is very poor ... hey, even my butcher could have done it! Then, too much confusion, noise, and the sound in general is not taken care of properly. The setting is surreal, or rather, I hope it is not real, because it shows a context of total normality and almost "offense" close to a prison. Only from this point of view it reminded me of the film "The zone of interest", but only for the great sadness of imagining a normal context, in this case even of Party, close to and in the indifference of human suffering. I don't recommend watching it. It's a waste of time.

With everything being captured on film, by both the festival-goers and the terrorists, it presents a truly unique and fascinating double-sided perspective of the horrors of October 7, 2023. I almost didn't watch this because of the mediocre reviews, but I'm so, so glad that I did. Despite quite literal use of blurring and, some of the footage was still very hard to watch. Not for the feint of heart, but a lot of this footage should be mandatory viewing for anyone who wants to have strong opinions about the ongoing (as of September 2024) situation in the region.

I understand this is supposed to be about a current event and all that, but the editing is so hyperactive and jumpy that you've no idea who, what, or where is even going on. No one acts like human beings and all the special effects are ameturish at best. Then there is the very graphic scenes of violence that feel like a slasher when this is supposed to be a serious documentary.... I'm no prude, but there is just excessive. I understand they were trying to share a topic close to them, but the movie just ended up a complete mess. I tried really hard to connect with the characters, but watching a bunch of off duty soldiers get high and have unprotected, unstimulated orgies to techno for an hour and then putting them in a snuff film isn't the way to do it. October 7th is a serious thing, but this was not it.

Who did they hire to do this documentary? The composition is all over the place, the story is disjointed, and they somehow made one of the biggest incidents of the year extremely boring. Don't waste your time with this one. The pacing is painfully slow, making it hard to stay engaged, and the lack of coherent structure leaves you wondering what the point of it all is. It feels like they tried to cover too many angles without properly fleshing out any of them. The interviews are bland, the editing is choppy, and by the end, you're left with more questions than answers. I honestly can't believe they even released this in its current state. It feels rushed, incomplete, and frankly, disrespectful to the subject matter. There are so many better documentaries out there-this one doesn't deserve the time or attention.
