Description
The TV series Canada, created by an unlisted creator and produced by an unlisted studio, first premiered on October 26, 2016 in an unspecified country. The series spans 0 seasons with 0 episodes, featuring the voices of an unlisted voice cast. It follows the story of Publisher's Summary Comedy superstar Mike Myers writes from the (true patriot) heart about his 53-year relationship with his beloved Canada. Mike Myers is a world-renowned actor, director and writer and the man behind some of the most memorable comic characters of our time. But, as he says, "No description of me is truly complete without saying I'm a Canadian". He has often winked and nodded to Canada in his outrageously accomplished body of work, but now he turns the spotlight full-beam on his homeland. His hilarious and heartfelt new book is part memoir, part history, and pure entertainment. It is Mike Myers' funny and thoughtful analysis of what makes Canada Canada and Canadians Canadians and what being Canadian has always meant to him. His relationship with his home and native land continues to deepen and grow, he says. In fact American friends have actually accused him of enjoying being Canadian - and he's happy to plead guilty as charged. A true patriot who happens to be an expatriate, Myers is in a unique position to explore Canada from within and without. With this, his first book, Mike brings his love for Canada to the fore at a time when the country is once again looking ahead with hope and national pride. Canada is a wholly subjective account of Mike's Canadian experience. Mike writes, "Some might say, 'Why didn't you include this or that?' I say there are 35 million stories waiting to be told in this country, and my book is only one of them." ©2016 Mike Myers (P)2016 Recorded Books. This is a Biographies & Memoirs series and has received a rating of 8.8/10 from 1,743 viewers.

half autobiography half Canadian history all told with the wit of the author. read by mike himself
This was a fantastic audiobook. Funny, eloquent, and clearly from the heart. Mike Myers does a great job with the wedding and performing, conveying nostalgia and humor in a much more subdued manner than is his trademark brand of humor. The book is interesting and endearing and makes be remember a time growing up in a place I never lived. I highly recommend this listen!
If you are Canadian you HAVE to LISTEN to this. This is definitely better narrated by Mike Myers. I wonder how it did so well not narrated. So many laugh or loud moments for me. I am Canadian myself living in the USA and I found myself saying words with me and here were also oh yes I do say it like that! Love love this book. Want to understand your Canadian neighbour listen to this book!!!!!!
Just moved from U.S. to Ontario, Canada. Fortunately, my husband is a Canadian citizen, so... good-bye crazy expensive medical insurance & solong clown president Trump. I will be proud to become a Canadian citizen. Better my oath be better to the Queen than to an ignorant egomaniac. Mike Myers' book is a good all round history & inspiration. Oh, Canada!
