... Acts her little heart out with sincerity. Hers is the most credible performance. Life is hard and decisions of others affect us in multiple ways. This story, whilst a little slow to get going, becomes more and more emotionally charged. I can't remember seeing this concept portrayed in a decent, authentic movie before. No spoilers from me, but it's worth watching until the end!

The premise of this movie is intriguing, introducing a high stakes story with the potential for many twists and turns. Unfortunately, instead of a riveting, suspenseful thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat, Black Medicine is nearly two hours of cliches, with an incredibly predictable plot and one dimensional characters. Additionally, I was appalled at how incredibly medically inaccurate everything was- you'd think that a movie with such a heavy focus on medicine would hire a medical adviser at least. Overall incredibly dissapointed in this film.

Ruined by constant 'background' sounds, not music, just random bloody noises serving no purpose whatsoever, not even suspense building. Why are some producers and directors afraid of (some appropriate) silence and allowing us to hear all the carefully written dialogue so we can follow the plot!? Bailed out early with a headache.

Absolutely loved Black Medicine, from start to finish had me on the edge of my seat questioning where we were going. Cinematography was excellent, as was the soundtrack which perfectly complimented the high intensity feeling set the whole way through. Genuinely struggling to think of any drawbacks as I write this review, 10/10.

Went into this open minded. I thought maybe it would be good, but wouldn't be surprised if it was bad either. Turns out I was crying by the end.

Been a massive fan of Amybeth since day one and loved seeing her in a darker role! Antonia and Orla are incredible throughout and adapted to their roles perfectly making the movie super tense! I'd never seen a movie follow illegal medicine before and found it really eye opening! Would definitely recommend to watch it.

This was actually really good, especially on that budget level... Acting was incredible all round and was tense throughout! Probably a 7/8 but giving higher as clearly people have down voted for some reason...

Had this film recommended & it did not disappoint! Extremely interesting & original storyline! The lead actresses were brilliant & very compelling! Looking forward to seeing what's next from this director/writer.

This movie I watched from the start and surprisingly it turned out to be a well written thriller. I had no hopes from this movie at all, but I enjoyed it immensely. Worth the time of your watch. This poster is not good or inviting. But the movie is another thing. Why do people review a movie, if they have not seen it.
