I would say it's time for Sara Ali to pack her bags and look for carrer outside of acting.

My heartfelt Naman to Late Usha Mehta for showing intense Dynamism, Cleverness, Passion and Will-Power to challenge the Britishers! It is these counter-attacks on the British by many patriotic Indians which ultimately led to their exiting from Bharat! Ae Watan Mere Watan is a very sincerely made biopic on the life of the great freedom-fighter, Usha Mehta! Her secret Congress Radio mission was "street smartness" at its best! It made the British police officers lose their peace of mind! The story-telling was tight and to-the-point. No digressions. No unnecessary sub-plots. The recreation of the environment of 1942 looks very, very realistic! When you watch a film, you should judge it based on whether the Director was true to the main story or not; instead of, expecting typical "thrills and nautankis" associated with commercial films! Darab Farooqui & Kannan Iyer, thanks a lot for bringing to life the inspiring story of Usha Mehta, and about whom I'd not read about before. Sara Ali Khan as Usha Mehta is an average actress. Sounds stiff in her dialogue delivery! I suspect, Alia Bhat, would've been a better choice. What say, you guys? PS: Usha Mehta has a great lineage in director Ketan Mehta, one of her Nephews, who'd directed a biopic on the great Sardar Patel, in 1993.

The movie starts shaky and its seems it will fall flat but slowly the atmosphere builds up when quit India movement was crushed and USHA Mehta Reignites its. Sara ali khan does justice to the character..... Imran Hashmi perform solidly as Dr. Ram-Manohar Lohia. In todays world of propaganda everyone should see this historic gem which frankly I was not aware and it seems most of the generation does not know USHA Mehta. But the Cinematography, the Pre Independence film look, BGM all to the point. Solid 9 stars for the Genuine effort done by while cast and the director. SARA ali khan performance came as a surprise seeing the lack lusture performance in Murder Mubarak recently....

After so many years, a movie on Indian Independence struggle without any over the top action and imaginary story. Loved it. Audience don't go for the negative reviews. Just watch it. You will love it. Indian modern history lover and spectrum lover should not miss it. The movie is just looking like wooww. After all those Students of the year like movie, Dharma productions are returning to something sensible movie. So a big thanks to them. With the changing political environment people now a days are no longer believe the independence struggle story. But today's new generation should watch it and should try to feel the sacrifices they have made it.
