Good direction good script good suspense Good acting, Maybe vidyas start power has decreased or the excitement before the film was not created by the makers, that's why they didn't get enough footfalls It fills in the same category of Daniel's Craig Knives Out movies. If you like this genre you will like it, This script if made in Hollywood with Alist stars can be a blockbuster The Makers have hinted for a second part which should be make we should all watch out for anu menon, she really shines in this category She should make more of this kind. Anyways a good watch in Hindi cinema with many turns and twists.

Neeyat is a crime mystery thriller film directed by anu menon. After ages, i hv found a film which boasts of a vivid range of performances, from brilliant, to good, to outright bad. Vidya balan and ram kapoor helm the ship's affairs and its evident how upper in the spectrum they are. Kapoor brings out the deceptive evil masking the so-good-human within. In a sequence with Mira i.e vidya, both actors deliver one of the best sequences of the film. Vidya balan, portrays the awkward, shy and cunning individual beautifully. Shahana goswami, nikki walia and neeraj kabi are good in their respective characters. But i did not expect rahul bose to be such a disappointment. What a void performance from him, even shashank arora. These are hindi film's two most talented actors. They were just wasted. Prajakta koli, anyways is not an actor. She pretends but cannot act. The writing of this film is haphazard. The characters have not been well defined. In a film, fleshing out characters is tough, but atleast you can do the bare minimum of making us feel through them. So many of them felt like caricatures than bloodflesh individuals. It also has to do more with the confused tonality of the film. At times, it forgets whether it wants to be a comedy thriller or a murder mystery. The screenplay has many major loopholes. Its highly inconsistent. You get introduced to the characters, interesting. You get to know them a bit more, the film loses its steam. Events occur, again it gets interesting. However, the climax and its twist is fabulous. Kind of saved the film's grace. And the cameo by one of my favourite actresses in the hindi film industry, has to be one of the brilliant moments of the film. The music kind of represents the scottish piano and tunes. Its also meant to evoke laughs but fails miserably. You laugh merely at one or two sequences. However, the song is very jazzy and good. Went very well with the cold, bitter mood of the film. The cinematography needs to be praised. Its aesthetically, very pleasant. The scottish hills, the seas, the lush greenery, it itself is a scene of joy. The camera successfully contrasts the outer happiness and the inner dreary nature of the castle and its characters. I wish the film had some better directed scenes. At one point, when a chase ensues, the storm suddenly stops as if it reveres the characters and says "hold on, let them do their bit." Another instance being, a stabbing scene where it felt more like the pumpkin wanted to be stabbed by the knife. Its a metaphor for the scene and not a spoiler, so please. I wish it was a bit funny and took itself lightly, coz self aware and self obsessed are entirely two different things.

It is good thriller, mystery, movie to enjoy with family,the move feel little slow in first half ,but the end has given a good twist , The starting of movie gives you the knives out feel ,they have shown all the relationship of victim and given everyone a good reason to kill the victim,the Vidya Balan acting is awesome like always ,we your finding a good thriller ,mystery movie to watch with your family with not much stress then this is the movie for you ,the story shown is good enough to make you hold for next 2 hours 15 minutes ,some characters should given have a good background story ,it is descent movie.

I normally don't write reviews but this cheap copy of( knives out + and then there were none) was so massive disaster, i couldn't help my self. First of all if you see a movie released over ott and yet have 'intermission' slide in between then it's clearly made for big screen but at the end they decided that money given to distributers will be totally waste as this movie won't recover a dime. Thus, they choose the cheapest available ott platform to distribute. So be aware of such movies. Vidhya balan was a bad choice for lead. I mean they had shefali shah done a cameo. Instead they could've gone with her for lead role then movie could've been bit more watchable. You will enjoy till intermission but after that it goes to downhill way fast. This is problem in general with bollywood... countless movies in recent history which failed miserably have actually a decent first half but somehow second half is always feels rushed. Watch this on your own risk.

Film Review: Neeyat Streaming on Prime Video An eccentric billionaire with a tarnished image throws a birthday party at a remote castle in Scotland for a select group of friends & family members. Things don't go as planned and people start dropping dead. It is then up to a mysterious detective Mira Rao (Vidya Balan) to piece together the clues and reveal the truth. This is similar to films like Agatha Christie's "And there were none" "Gumnaam", "Knives Out " and other similar films. Nothing new in the story. Cast is good with Ram Kapoor as the billionaire AK, Rahul Bose , Neeraj Kabi , Shahana Goswami, Nicky Aneja, Dipannita Sharma and others doing a decent job. With a runtime of around 130 minutes, the film tends to drag a bit, especially the first half. The real action starts in the second half and ends decently. Not bad !! However the script has nothing new to offer and lack of real jump scare moments with a heart pounding BGM are sorely missed. All in all a timepass one time watch on OTT !! This is as bad as anything I've ever seen. Horrid characters, production design and writing. Why did Vidiya agree to doing this garbage? Who's funding this garbage and why? What a terrible mix of characters, the narrator is literally reading out who they are without any effort being put into establishing them. The casting is one of the worst I've ever seen. If knifes out had a bad hangover after drinking desi daru this would be it. I really hope someone at Amazon puts in more effort on the content instead of this garbage. Watch it at your own risk and keep some alcohol nearby because it's going to be needed.

Horrible guys , you guys could not even create your own poster , even that needs to be copied , Bollywood is brain dead , Leave the legendry movies , Don't waste your time , watch knives out again .I closed it after few mins , realizing these jokers cant even make a copy . You tries to match Daniel Craig , oh god , even after copying things you could not come up with descent stuff , what a failure . To top it all off, the ending is a complete cop-out. It's as if the filmmakers realized they had no idea how to wrap up this disaster of a movie, so they just threw in a random twist and called it a day. It's unsatisfying and leaves you with more questions than answers.
