Wynonna Earp: Vengeance

The plot was bland. The dialogue was horrible. Every other line was a bad sex joke. The 10 star reviews all sound like bot reviews trying to boost the score. Trust the 4 star review. If this was an episode of the show, I would say it was middle to poor. And there were entire seasons of the show I thought were trite and boring. They got even the origin of Wynonna wrong. That's in the first episode of the first season. Could they not even bother to go back and re-watch that? It's been a while since I watched the series, but it ended better than this movie did. They should have let dead dogs lie. This was a poor addition. Did none of the original writers come back? They got the actors to come back. Some, in my opinion, looking a little worse for wear.

If you can think of the worst film you've ever seen, this one is much more worse that that. Literally, a fifth grade drama class can do better. This mess was a laugh out loud amateur hour nonsense. All casting and performances where horrible and lacked proper cast direction. The bogus high reviews were more entertaining. It speaks volumes when the filmmakers don't even have faith in their own production to resort to such blatant tactics trying to trick viewers into watching this nonsense. I'm giving this a very generous 1/10 (as I can't go lower), all going towards the shill high reviews, as they were way more entertaining than this mess of a film.

Between this and Calamity Jane, Tim Rozon is the ultimate Western actor. He's the ultimate studmuffin in this one but he was good in Calamity, too. And what he lacks, Greg Lawson makes up for. The rest of Vengeance was okay, and it was nice to see the gang back together, Even minus Walls, and Bobo, like they couldn't have brought them back somehow. It also didn't help (or hurt) that they brought in a villain from an undisclosed part of Wynonna'a past. Like Nicole said in a meta comment, Vengeance seems more like a reboot than a reunion, what with the Black Badge corruption and the "Here's to the adventure" near-last line.

My husband and I went into this movie with high hopes as we enjoyed the TV series immensely. This was almost too painful to watch. The dialogue and acting skills were nowhere near to on par with the series. It was like the actors were phoning it in but they did the best they could with the terrible dialogue they got. I don't know why Tubi had to go and ruin an amazing series with this gosh awful movie. Next time, just leave it alone. I cannot stress enough that you should not waste your time with this movie. I love the actors and I will probably need to rewatch the series to get the bad taste out of my mouth.

Thank you for brining this show back and doing it justice so wonderfully. It had all the essence of a great Wynonna Earp episode, I laughed and I cried and everything in between. The story was amazing, the shots were incredible, it was done so thoughtfully and beautifully, something that long time fans could enjoy or new comers alike. The cast (and crew) did a phenomenal job!! The special effects were bigger and better. The scenes were stunning, the car montage was amazing, the references and callbacks were amazing. My only complaint is that there isn't more (at least yet?) I cannot wait to hopefully see what comes next for this incredible group of characters!
