Loved it - so well written and directed. Down to each detail - funny while also being authentic. If Hollywood had made this it would have felt false and predictable. But, even though you know where it's headed - you're not so sure it's gonna get there. Loved the kiss at the end. Only a woman could have directed that. And Mehla Bedia is a find! Such a naturally funny and winning actress - fell in love with her at first sight.

Yes there is little new in the way of storyline and yes the plot is predictable. But the story is done from a very modern woman's perspective, and as is all too often the case, a young woman who has been made to feel undesirable unless she is doing a man's job and meeting a man's needs. In addition, the movie shows the gymnastic side of pole dancing and it's ability to change a person's self respect through physical performance. All-in-all, the main character succeeds in moving from her insecurities to a complete self-assured woman. Well done Nour!

This is an un-cynical, sincere movie that made me feel better about the world and people in general. All the cast members were excellent, showing depth in even the smaller rolres. Oscar-award-winning. No. But if you are looking for an escape that is grittier than a Hallmark Christmas movie, more relatable than a typical Hollywood movie of this type, and thoroughly enjoyable without having to try too hard as a viewer- it hits the spot. It's a comfort food film. If that's what you're looking for.

No jokes, just a few misunderstandings until a tiny little happy end. Boring and not funny at all.

Went in with no expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. A wonderful movie that touches the heart of any woman who knows the awkward phase of life but this is about a later bloomer. I thoroughly enjoyed all the cast. The writing was beautifully done, directing made me feel like I was there watching. Very much enjoyed until the very end. The music in this is fantastic. I highly recommend watching this in French with subs. The English dubs were clunky and just terrible. That and a lot is lost without the main actresses voice.

Are really ravishing youll experience after viewing this petit french romantic comedy. its the ugly duckling like young woman, that fumes an aura of testosteronic vibes playing football and showering with the boys as the tomboy she is, that wish to be as attractive as the other girls around, and finds the clue, that may poledancing do the job? see for yourself , youll not be dissapointed. allthough sweet and chubby sexy, the production aint more than mainstream romcom alla france, with no original ideas or generic insertions. the acting though are very relaxed and fluid and you feel sympathy with the caracters in the main roles. anyway i had a good time evaluating the main female caracter, as the chubby type has always been my taste of woman. so the grumpy old man had a nice time viewing forte, a recommend from me.

A French comedy. It is about an overweight girl who listens to the comments of others and decides to enter pol dance to be more "feminine". Quality. Current. Entertaining Bittersweet. With moments that touch your heart. With light jokes and sarcasm. You manage to click with the main character at the beginning, the main character is very human. Good acting and the script is good. It can be taken generic as: "Britaney's career" or "Sexy by accident" but it has its essence. Talk about self-esteem, how stereotypes hurt and involve us, even if we let ourselves be carried away by them, they totally consume us. Of not stopping being oneself and learning to love and accept ourselves as is. To look for what makes us happy and exploit our potentials trying new things, without the fear of failing or what they will say. If you ever feel insufficient this movie is for you.
