Mayanagari - City of Dreams

Bon film !

It was a series which was could have been an 8 but the score suffered binary fission and was reduced to 3🤣 Two prime reasons :- 1)The director's obsession with the female protagonist and an all out attempt to prove that this woman was a perfect mother , daughter , sister and above all the biggest philanthropist of all times . All her wrongs were portrayed in such a way that they had to be carried out for the benefit of the common man wheras no such actual ground work was ever shown ( very much like our real life politicians who do great work but only in media but we despise them for this ) And yes this is the reason the viewer would not develop a connection with this female protagonist because all her reactions to all the challenges posed were pretty weird . 2) Victory of good over evil but that too comes with a BIAS. Her good is GREAT THEIR good is just a cover up Her evil is justified Their evil is DEMONIC. She might be lecherous, murderous, insensitive and over reactive with very very weird response to pain but she would be shown as the only hope for people Very very sad and dissapointing. I think the only person who keeps the show alive with his wonderful portrayal of SAHIB is ATUL KULKARNI. Other person who is worth mentioning is Sushant Singh - short but very effective role . Eijaz Khan playing under the shadow of the "ALL PERFECT " female lead couldn't have done much. Priya Bapat was overrated .

These is how should be a web series.. realistic... you'll be missing on gem if u dont watch these

Great direction and powerful script writing. Superbb perfomance. A must watch.

When & how political Dynamics take turn was well scripted. Katrina love story streched for creating good length. Story keeps suspense what will happen next . Character WASIM is superb Played by eijaz Khan. I think there should be more acting part should be given to Atul in next season

The entire story is based on the all time famous, very old propaganda against hindu community. In every episode they are just trying to set the same narrative which is now running in the veins of Bollywood. The entire story was based on a simple narrative that hindus are oppressors and Muslims are open minded towards women, in reality which is just opposite.& also the story line was quite obvious, nothing new, same old who will be the successor of the king thing. Very disappointed it feels like the writer picked stories from here & there and made it as per his basic moto of minority appeasement.

Another great series from hotstar after criminal justice, great performances from every character specially Priya Pabat.

Well acted, well scripted, well directed amazing thriller. Must watch. Do not miss this show. Superb.

Political dramas are very boring to watch as they less likely carry a good content. City of dreams breaks this stereotypes and comes out as shining star. From its title song to casting everything is so satisfying. The story is completely fictional but seems more real. Every episode takes breath away while watching. Must watch for at least once.

We have seen a few series in India now which will change the industry and what content we are going to see in the next few years. After sacred games this is going to make a difference.very well made the plot , direction , characters and the twists. Hope to see season 2 soon
