MH370: L'avion disparu

If you are looking for answers as to what happened to MH360 you won't find any on this series. It was a total waste of time watching it. There was no evidence that any gov't had anything to do with the disappearance of the plane. Just a lot of conspiracy theories. Netflix shouldn't have put this on for everybody to watch. The families deserve more than conspiracy theories as to what really happened to their loved ones. I believe that there are people out there who knows what exactly what happened to the plane crash and they aren't going to tell anybody. If the wreckage is in the Southern Indian Ocean they need to reopen the search to find the real answers.

I really thought this series would have some credibility based on the homework such a production would need. The first episode focuses on then actual sequence of events and the families involved which was expected. They later shifted the focus to the Pilot and then they ruled that out too. And finally it's the Russia season so the focus moved on Russia and without any shame or an iota of evidence the series starts portraying Russia as the villain. Lol . They focused an entire episode on the Russia angle. How dumb do these people think the audience is? Instead of following the leads that point south they conveniently change the focus to the plane possibly flying north. I expected more from this series but it was a flat out disappointment. I have seen better investigations done by 60 Minutes Australia. Episode 3 was just a case of providing closure to the insurance claims and they obviously planted some debris in the Indian Ocean area. No one believes that crap. Personally, my money is on the pilot flying this plane to Antarctica. Maybe it was shot down before it could go there or maybe he did get through.

This documentary is the perfect example of trash that Netflix is now staging to somehow keep afloat. The documentary feels like the work of a teenage amateur QAnon follower! So let's start...it has to be the pilot!...no wait..it's the Americans...no wait...the Russians!!!!!!....noooooo....the Chinese!! Wait...could it be Australia??? Does anyone at Netflix ever actually see the stuff they are putting out? Does anyone consider what this would do to the families of the crash victims? On moral grounds, tainting the names of so many people who actually tried to help?! Netflix should be ashamed.

The incredible bumbling and arrogance of the Malaysian government and Malaysian Airlines is undeniable. This aviation writer, Jeff Wise, clearly wanted to break into Hollywood and Netflix gave him his chance. His multiple theories completely ignore most logical facts, like the other passengers on board saying, "hey, a Russian just opened the hatch and went down." This guy is guilty of confirmation bias who rode this crash to fame. Meanwhile, all Wise can do is dismiss the debris finder, Blaine Gibson, as a part of a vast Russian plot. Meanwhile, the woman who said, "look here is the plane. I can see the debris field exactly where it would be, in the South China Sea near Vietnam." If the catastrophic event happened when the plane went dark on radar, that's where it would be. Her story, rather than explored on its own, is wrapped into yet another wild conspiracy theory by the wholly unbelievable fantastical French journalist. Fortunately, there is Mike Exner to bring sanity to all the wild theories. What surprises me most is no one talks about golfer Paine Stewart's ill-fated flight wherein the planes pressurization failed and all were killed by hypoxia and then the ghost plane ran out of fuel and crashed. The Captain and co-pilot would have had more oxygen and could have tried to turn the plane back towards home.

....because this is right up their alley: half-baked conspiracy theories lifted from bad Steven Seagal movies. 70% of this is conspiracy-theory nonsense purported by people who believe all Americans are evil and control the world. The best part was imputing that Blaine was a Russian spy! Ha! Or that AWACS actually have the ability to block radar and cell phones and all electronics. Or that you can hack into a 777 from an open-hatch and control the plane with your MacBook. Oh I love it! The only part the wasn't delved into enough was when Russia shot down MH17: they barely even talked about that. I guess that doesn't fit in with the "America and Britain and Australia" are keeping a secret, because they're white and have money. Hilarious! Total nonsense, and ZERO answers. Read the wiki stub, don't waste 3 hours.

This "documentary" is a joke. It has very little to do with MH370 or Malaysian Airlines in general and more to do with some random blogger who is not happy his few blog posts (some of which are deemed far fetched conspiracy theories) did not get the attention he thought he would get. That random blogger appears and has more to say than any one who has access to any MH370 related data. I didn't expect Netflix to make a proper documentary but I also didn't expect they could come up with something this bad. It is honestly an insult to their subscribers, the few remaining ones at least. Do NOT bother wasting your time watching it. Air Diasters is a way better show if you like reading or learning about these cases.

If you watch this documentary, you indeed start to think on what is the real and undisputed proof that is available. And if you start looking at that, the scenario of the french journalist makes most sense. Her story might also explain the incredible "coincidence" that another Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 was shot down just a few months after MH370 "disappeared". Because if the USA shot down MH370 to prevent China from gaining access to the precious cargo it holds, many chinese people were killed. And China would most certainly retaliate. And what better thing to do then let you ally russia - which joins China in many a proxy war - to shoot down a flight that holds many western passengers. And what statement to better make then shoot exactly the same type of Malaysian airlines plane down that is filled with western people. So this documentary really makes people thinking of the different scenarios! And that is exactly what I like so much about this documentary. Because it is not often that you get such a documentary. The last one that did this, was the more than excellent Discovery Channel documentary on the sinking of the MS Estonia. Therefore, this documentary easily deserves a rating of 8.2/10, making it an 8 star IMDb score. And this is a very good rating for a documentary!

Wow! The absurdity and just clear lack of sympathy for the families of the victims of this horrible tragedy is just astounding. I found Jeff Wise to be absolutely infuriating. The guy just needs to write murder mystery novels with his crazy thinking and leave actual reality for people with a sense of sanity. How the producers at Netflix found him tolerable, let alone lead pretty much most of the show is the real conspiracy. Russia anyone? Maybe trying to brain-dumb more Americans so they can eventually take over the world. In spite of all that, I really did feel for the victims of the tragedy. What they went through is absolutely horrific. May we all know what happened very soon.

It's not worth watching. It is full of conspiracy presented by some clown calling himself a "aviation reporter" from New York. He presents one scenario followed by completely different one and all of them are based on nonsense. The MH17 was shot down in Ukraine in 2014 and in January 2023 the court in Hague had their decision on that case, and investigation was done and finished long before that. So why on Earth Netflix spends my time by showing these nonsence theories that connect MH370 disappearance to MH17 shot down? Netflix is thriving on the tragedy. I don't recommend this series at all..

Horrible docuseries. Thank God Mike Exner agreed to participate and save it from devolving into a complete conspiracy theory fest. Mark Dickinson of Inmarsat and Pete Foley also lent sanity to the series, albeit for only the few seconds of interview time Netflix thought it appropriate to include. Even Blaine Gibson (who I admittedly assumed would be one of the nuttier personalities) was one of the few more rational voices. I feel for these families. Really, I do. But it's clear that some of them are struggling so much with their grief and with not having answers that they're buying into far-fetched theories they would likely never have entertained 15 years ago. I hope they're given closure one day but the idea that this was some global conspiracy involving no less than 3 major countries to take down your average commercial flight is not going to give it to them. And shame on The Intercept's de Changy who's profiting like a MFer off both this tragedy and the heartbreak of the victims' families. I agree we need answers but none of the ridiculous conspiracies posited in this docuseries is a plausible explanation. I would have much preferred a FACTUAL docuseries focusing on the accident itself, the investigation that followed, and the 239 souls lost. I mean, you could have just interviewed Mike Exner, Mark Dickinson, and Pete Foley. Hell, you had them right there. I would have loved to hear their theories about what happened.
