Not worth to watch at all !!! Another super poor movie !!!
Well well well, finally a found of my own, a The Room, a Plan 9 from Outer Space, a movie that is genuinely bad, and not intentionally. Truly so many moments when you're just: This is not possible, this is just not happening! But Oh No! It is possible, it is happening and even so, it's going and going for more! Once I realized there is no point in taking this seriously, I really let myself go and just had a laugh. Bloody hell I laughed, I giggled, I genuinely had fun because it is amazing how much Saltwater takes itself seriously, while giving you gems like: people that are in just over the ankles water, get pulled under by crocodiles. Crocodile close ups of clearly baby crocs taken from other footage or perhaps taken in a zoo. Characters that make no sense but are there and genuinely feeling the tension of the situation. I mean come on, you have to take this as a laugh and just go all the way with it. It was fun and I do recommend it in a small group, perhaps even a drinking game for every time the word "bleeding" is there to replace the f bomb. Cheers!
What are the benefits of film? To entertain the audience, then why am I not entertained at all? Yes, I laughed a lot and this movie was funny. Not because the comedy acting in this film is funny, but it's very funny because the acting of the actors is very bad, stiff, and the dialogue skills seem to memorize the text very well! Then, to take part of the crocodile scene. It looks like it's just a Copy Paste from a flora and fauna film then edited in this film and rendered.... Very disappointing!
Terrible movie what we have here is a cut scene type movie, they film in one location and add about 10 minutes of dialog, they they move to another location and add in another 10 minutes of dialog, (and repeat), the dialog is kindof funny at times but really not worth watching for it. Barely any crocodiles in the movie and just really bad all around. What really gets me is how they spent 1M (estimated) on this movie???? A gopro and some old war outfits are maybe 2k some new actors maybe 1k each a terrible script $200, pack of chewing gum 25c ..... I can think of 1M other places to spend 1M and this isn't one of them.
Movie opens with a clip of a C-130 (introduced in 1954) and this is a WW2 film! It should be free on Amazon or better yet sent down to PlutoTV.
Ok so we know it's low budget nonsense but I thought the two main actors worked well together- they tried and their delivery was good. Compared to some of the drivel about at the mo this was partly palpable - it won't win any awards but neither was it lines just delivered as from lumps of wood. & neither did it look like a school project.
In 1945 during the Battle of Ramree Island an estimated 500 Japanese soldiers entered the swamps of Ramree island, Burma, according to the stories less than 20 of them emerged. Death came to them from many different sources, scorpions, disease, drowning and of course the crocodiles. I have read many stories of this battle, many were first-hand witness stories that told of the horrors they heard in the swamps. They could hear the crocodiles attacking the Japanese soldiers, and the tale tell sounds of the crocodiles doing the death roll as they attacked the Japanese. This has nothing to do with that battle except name only, they only show two Japanese soldiers and they don't even die by their crocodiles. That said, I watch this in hopes it would be a good rendition of the story, it isn't. They could've set this horrible human disaster story in any situation, four British soldiers, one of them being an Indian, whom I was rooting for, go into the swamps and bicker, fight and act stupid. I ended up fast forwarding hoping to find anything about the real story . I took this bullet for you, I implore you do, not watch this garbage.
Four British soldiers are on an island doing recon work but have to battle crocodiles in order to do it. Internal drama is created by making one of them Indian. Very boring. Not much of a war film. More like a gator horror film that never got its legs. Guide: F-word.
