I found the portrayal of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in the film to be incredibly moving and insightful. It felt like a revelation, casting a new light on the history of India's struggle for independence. After reading Vikram Sampath's book, I was already inclined to view Savarkar as a significant, albeit underappreciated, figure. The film, spearheaded by Randeep Hooda, further solidified my respect for Savarkar, portraying him as a true dark knight who fought valiantly for India's freedom, unlike some of the Congress leaders who are often celebrated in mainstream narratives. I was particularly impressed by how the film and the book challenge the conventional perceptions of Indian history, urging audiences to recognize the contributions of forgotten heroes like Savarkar. The criticism of those who dismiss Savarkar's sacrifices, especially his harrowing time in the Andaman Cellular Jail, struck a chord with me. It's easy for detractors, including prominent figures like Rahul Gandhi (referred to as "Pappu" in political discourse), to undermine Savarkar's legacy. However, I doubt many could endure even a fraction of the hardships he faced in Kalapani.

After watching this movie, my eyes were opened. Until now, we believed that "Charkha chalane se azaadi aayi thi," but this movie revealed the sacrifices of several freedom fighters who were killed fighting for their own land. This movie should reach every Indian so that they can learn about the unsung heroes of the freedom struggle apart from Nehrus and Gandhis mentioned in textbooks, such as Savarkar and Patel. All in all, the movie provided a more detailed and nuanced view of the freedom struggle, and it helped me appreciate the efforts of the countless brave souls who fought for our nation's independence.

Not Only Savarkar but Others Martyrs like Madanlal Dhingra, Khudiram Bose, Anant Kanhere, Bhagat Singh,etc Just Watch it.

Glad this movie is made. Overall great performance and even haters will enjoy the acting and work done. Indian history is vastly not touched and great that movies are being made on it. I hope that people irrespective of their political bias enjoy the movie. Indians lack knowledge of their own history and media narrative runs through the masses. This movie gives great insights which can break that bias so that people can make their own opinion based on truth. Not sure how this movie will work in box office with slow start though. It may become a hit like Kashmir files or will be a huge flop. There will be nothing in between.
