Well . You can't expect much sense when it comes to a rom / com movie but . What really bothered me was the end . The rapid dramatic change of the hero from evil to kind in 1 scene . That totally made no sense for me . J guess it needed much time . Overall the movie is funny and I had a good time smiling at certain scenes ( if we gonna skip the end ) . And unlike others . I liked seeing merve talking to the camera cuz it somehow reminded me with ( fleabag ) and that show is one of my all time fav . That touched something in my memory , dear fleabag and hot priest , anyway if you just wanna watch a movie with nothing on your mind but to relax , and no over thinking . It's the right place .my low rate is just a reaction of disappointment as I waited much for the movie to come but the end was a disaster for my high expectations. I wish it were a short series I'd have definitely admired .

The plot is okay. I wish the movie wasn't so fast paced and wish the events made more sense. If 1-the story behind the revenge was strong 2-the romance was a slow burn and give time to both people to like each other 3-the time range was wider, it would have made a great movie if not a great series. The choice of actors is great, all of them are really famous and great but the plot did them dirty. Again, I love this idea of romance: in his quest to revenge he finds true love and gets torn between avenging his dad and supporting his girl/ in her way to success and unleashing her true potential in the fashion field she falls in love but doesn't know that the guy she fell in love with is actually a wolf in disguise ready to destroy her and her family.

You need to watch more than 10 minutes of this film to enjoy it, because the frantic all over the place direction I believe reflects the main character's mental state. She has no idea what she's doing in the beginning, but as the movie progresses the character develops and grows into her potential, then the movie also starts to make more sense. What is this movie? Is it a romance, a comedy, drama, thriller... Honestly, the movie was all over the place. I do agree with some of the reviews that if it was longer and had more time (a short mini-series instead of a movie) characters' emotional development could have made more sense. However, within the time-frame given, it still works. I loved the characters. They were such caricatures! If you try to analyze it too much, it will not work. However, if you just let go and enjoy the ride, it does. As an artist, I also love to see a young female artist overcome obstacles through her creativity and succeed in the business world. I found this film refreshing and fun.

I can write million things for Zuhal Olcay. She is the best. She is stunning in this movie as a supporter role but she is shining and like a starring. Anyway as a movie I enjoyed so much, it was so simple, clean, colorful and a little kind of girl power movie. For killing time I can highly recommend to watch. As a story, as you can imagine, super cliché and very similar with another movies. Thanx God it is happy end. Ahsen Eroglu was good in character and I loved her character transition much. I laughed some jokes also. By the way like an app, it is disgusting :)) for a Z generation character , Merve is very talented and clever. Unfortunately I cannot say same thing for real world :) it is good. Not the best but good.

The description does not do this Turkish romantic comedy justice. The main character is a quirky artistic girl who dreams about having her own fashion line.... Merve Kült (based on her name Merve Kültür) and the motto of her line would be "you do you". The idea being don't let anyone tell you what is good or not good fashion wise. Likewise, she has her own personal style which seems to be pairing items (mainly blazers) out of her high powered former journalist mother's closet with eclectic and colorful things out of her own closet. Think brightly colored belted blazers, big earrings and even bigger glasses. Her mom would like her to take an office job, which she has resisted until they receive eviction notices from their building's new owner because Nerve's own father sold the building out from underneath them due to bankruptcy. He has a whole new family elsewhere...but is still technically married to Merve's mother, the queenly and uncompromising Nevra. Merve's artistic group of friends come up with a plan to market a meet up app where everyone wears masks to a start up entrepreneur, who might help them market and then eventually sell their app for enough money to buy Merve's building...and initially the plan goes well. Meanwhile Merve meets the start up entrepreneur by literally crashing into him with coffee, not the best first impression. This Anil Gürman is on a mission of his own...one of revenge. The two also meet on the app, Anil with a custom Wolf mask and Merve with a gazelle mask. Of course he has the advantage of knowing who she is...but they have done interesting conversations while getting to know one another. This is a quirky romantic comedy, filled with bohemian and artistic characters. I enjoyed some of the music...and the masks were very creative. I loved the scene where everyone in their small group was dancing in the studio with their masks on, it was neat to see it as Anil did from the outside. The Kamondo steps in Istanbul Turkey are shown off beautifully as one of Merve's favorite spots. I thought her "clothing line" at the fashion show needed a lot of work as it looked like just what it was done cut up blazers and pieced together fabric...with all of the wannabe fashionistas out there they could have found a fashion student or someone to do a much better job (and probably very cheap too). I enjoyed the romance...both the main one and the subplot. So, this is a recommendation from me for romantics who enjoy light hearted romance that is a little off the beaten path. Finally, I loved the little bit of wisdom: "If you don't take a step, you will stay where you are." And: "If flowers are worth picking, you should pick them. Don't wait till they wither away only to regret not picking them."

Ahsen Eroglu. She is absolutely delightful in this Turkish rom-com. Pretty, spunky and endlessly interesting as Merve. Her smile lights up the screen, always overshadowing the other characters. The rest of the cast is completely generic, even the characters that are supposed to be quirky. And here we have the usual Netflix job of terrible, mismatched dubbing of English. And there is something strangely erotic about people wearing animal masks to try and get a date. And now we have to deal with IMDB's ridiculous six hundred character minimum. Still forty two to go. RIP Treat Williams. You will be missed.

Don't let anyone judge you or sway you with their opinion! This ain't about reviewing a movie, it's the beautiful message it sends. It's nice, fun, enjoyable, and uplifting - a surefire cure for boredom or the blues. Ahsen Eroglu's playful personality or Merve, how I love you and your carefree vibe and attention to detail. The romantic vibes of Turkey and the personalities of Merve's friends, even though they were somewhat similar in their character design, overall the experience was a comedic, dramatic, and secretive one. Breaking the fourth wall was enjoyable and not overdone. I liked the fashion choices, although there was room for more details on Merve's choices and her journey of learning about the art of fashion and beauty. I'll definitely watch it again, as I said, it's a surefire cure for depression or boredom. The last point is that Turkish films have taken a huge leap in the comedy genre, and surely many more works will be built upon it.

DNF. Watched 10 minutes and it was actually painful to watch the lead actress try to act. Cliche after cliche in just 10 minutes. Shows that have the characters talk to the camera (viewer) are almost universally bad because that destroys the "magic" of suspending belief for 90 minutes. There have been some real dogs on netflix but this is the first one I've given one star. Would have given no starts if I could. I guess there could be an online contest to see how long this dreadful show lasts before netflix kills it. I know it is very difficult to create a successful show, "Travelers", for instance. But to cancel that show and put this one one is mindboggling.

Okay so the movie starts on a good note good actors, good story line...its a romantic comedy movie but it lacks romance and it lacks comedy as well..it mostly focuses on the youngsters who are trying to make their career..and the main lead girl is also very career oriented which is a good thing...the thing i hated the most was when the lead girl talks to the camera in the middle of the conversation...that was very weird...the ending is very dull no surprises at all..no intense scenes...a very boring ending..I literally wanna skip the ending but forced my self to complete the movie..A positive thing in the movie is that its a "female led movie" and the male lead seemed like a supporting actor..
