Good movie!
Good movie!

Yeah! Another story created to teach our children about how horrible humans are. Same story, regurgitated with different characters.
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. As a Dungeons and Dragons player its enjoyable to see someone who took the time to actually do research. The lore was spot on including the way most people confuse the cockatrice with a basilisk. The only downside is the way the dragons were named. As firedrake is probably closer to Bahamut. Finally I enjoyed the setup of the chromatic metallic dragon conflict. Good movie for a family.
If you're a huge fan of the book, like I am, don't bother watching, it's horrible. They completely ruined all the characters, none of them act like they did in the book. They slaughtered the story line making it too fast paced and leaving you unable to connect with the characters. I also wasn't impressed with the design of the dragons, they all looked overweight frogs. Seriously, did the creators of this movie even read the book?? Don't waste your time watching this, you'll just be disappointed.
Only problem is the posh British as opposed to the everyday British, Irish & American English. Otherwise, I loved it even more than the Disney dragon rider movies!! :) :)
Wow! What a fun, fresh and adventures movie. The animation is epic and I never thought such great animation would come from Germany. Unbelievably directed! My kids watched it several times already.
However, the human and furry animal designs are so low quality that it ruins the movie for me with today's standards :-(
Absolutely loved it...eye catching animation and good advanture..
