Koga is famous for his explosive attacking judo and extreme level of technical skills, besides that he was an innovator that developed his unique style of Judo. His favorite techniques was Ippon Seoi Nage (to this day he is considered the greatest master of this technique), he is also on of the first judokas to use one handed Sode Tsurikomi Goshi. Unfortunately he died of kidney cancer at a young age of 53. Toshihiko Koga was inspiration to countless judokas all over the world, he will be gravely missed. Rest in peace legend.
