At 16, Kaona (then fighting under the name of Nongbeer Chokngamwong) reached the pinnacle of his career by capturing the 108 lbs Lumpini belt. Kaona's most notable wins have come over Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, Superlek Kiatmoo9, Superbank Mor Rattanabandit and Saen Parunchai. He now trains and fights out of Saenchai's gym in Bangkok.
