On January 14, 2022, the 18-year-old Supergirl stepped into the ring against the far more experienced Vandaryeva, a veteran fighter and three-time Muay Thai world champion. On paper, the experience gap was enormous. Inside the ring, however, Supergirl refused to fight like an underdog. Vandaryeva pressured her heavily, especially in the second round, while Supergirl continued fighting through the damage and remained competitive until the final bell. Then came the decision. Almost everyone expected Vandaryeva to win. Instead, the referee raised Supergirl's hand. The decision immediately became controversial. Fans questioned the result, and ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong publicly said that he personally believed Vandaryeva had won and that the judges had made the wrong decision. A rematch was eventually planned for ONE Fight Night 6 in January 2023. But it never happened. Supergirl was moved into another fight after stepping in as a replacement, and the long-awaited rematch was never officially rescheduled. Meanwhile, both fighters continued building their careers. Vandaryeva went on to face tough opponents such as Martyna Kierczynska, while Supergirl continued proving that her striking could be dangerous against high-level opposition.
