The summer of 2000 has been great for the WWF while WCW continues to stagnate; Vince Russo hasn't been able to increase viewership for Monday Nitro but this week he's going to reintroduce nWo 2000 in hopes of getting more people to tune in. Goldberg has dug a shallow grave for Russo (literally) and he wants to put him inside by the end of the night, but a certain "Hitman" turns things upside at the very end of Monday Nitro. It's the night after SummerSlam 2000, The Rock is still WWF champion, and on this episode of Raw the "People's Champion" defends gold against Kane. Kurt Angle begins to regain his memory after taking that Pedigree last night at the pay per view, and he says he remembers being at the hotel and he remembers being in Stephanie McMahon's room (he even recalls the room number).
