In the mid 90s, the WWF had it's popularity tested when WCW went head to head with Vince McMahon's flagship weekly wrestling television show. Airing on TNT, WCW Nitro aired at the same time as WWF Raw on the USA Network. The two companies would square off in a weekly ratings battle with each wrestling organization trying to outdo eachother to deliver the better wrestling show. As fans, we were treated to a once in a lifetime era of pro wrestling known as "The Monday Night Wars". This series compares WCW Nitro to WWF Raw (and vice versa) on a particular week. This episode takes a look at what the WWF and WCW put on their Monday Night shows on October 2nd 1995. WCW gave us superstars such as Randy Savage, Arn Anderson and Ric Flair while the WWF would present the likes of Bret Hart, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and the 1-2-3 Kid.
