Any additional comments? Just started chapter two and I cringed !!! Darryl sounds meek compared to the voice Lorelei King gave him... Adam, Warren, Ben.... just isn't the same... very distracting !

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?It was a bit of a let down for me.I tend to lose interest when narrative changes occur to 'established' characters in an existing series.I just can't follow who is saying what from the 'Adam perspective'.What didn’t you like about Lorelei King’s performance?Lorelei's performance was fantastic, as always, its the new male narrator that threw it off for me - It's so hard to try to distinguish between the characters that Lorelei created from the beginning - and now they are totally different. I am not saying he is a bad narrator - he just doesn't fit the characters that Lorelei established in the 9 previous books.

I have been waiting for this book and no matter how hard I tried to stop listening, I just couldn't. Great continuation to the series and am looking forward to the next one. love Lorelei's narration. The new additon wasn't half bad. It is hard to hear a different voice for some of the characters, but you get use to it.

Patricia Briggs has done it again I couldn't put down this book. loved this thrilling novel!

Patricia Briggs never disappoints. I will continue reading this series for as long as she writes books for it.

Once again Patricia Briggs brought us another great Mercy story. The only thing that I would change would be the male narrator.It threw me off because I'm so use to Lorelei King's voice and take on each character. I know what each character sounds like and with the male narrator I got a little lost. Other than that I did enjoy this new adventure in Mercy's universe.

Lorelei King does an amazing job. She has good voices for the male chars in the books and George Newbern's narration was jarring.I am not sure why the reason for using two narrators, however, if they were going to use two, the male narrator should have been the guy they use for the Alpha Omega series, at least he does a good job with Briggs' work.If I had know how bad the narration of George Newbern was before buying the book I would have gone for the kindle version and just skipped the audio.

I love all of the Mercy Thompson books. They are full of great characters, action, fantasy and plot twists. This book was different than the others in that it had chapters telling Adam's side and that was a welcome addition to the series. Hope Patricia continues on with this series.

I enjoyed this book thoroughly, I plan on buying a hard copy for my collection. The structure of the story was well done, and I enjoyed the different threads the author used to tell her story. Sometimes if many plot points are happening concurrently it can be jarring to change points of view, however I found the transitions fairly smooth. I can see why they chose to have two narrators tell the different points of view, it made it very clear whose point of view we were experiencing. I did not particularly enjoy the male narrator, I may have liked it better if Holter Graham had taken on that role. The male narrator did not ruin my enjoyment of the book, although he was a little jarring at first. Overall this was a great listening experience and I plan on rereading this book multiple times in audio and hardcopy.

I have gotten used to the wolves' voices as done by Ms.King, so it took some getting used to.
