The Undertaker would not wrestle his younger brother even though Kane was on a rampage in the WWF, and it seemed like "The Phenom" had finally met his match. At the 1998 Royal Rumble though, Kane's actions would lead to The Undertaker changing his mind and the brothers faced eachother at WrestleMania 14. From here, The Undertaker's character development went into overdrive as more layers were added to his gimmick. Inferno matches, hell in a cell matches, teased heel turns and an alliance with his brother meant that The Undertaker had one of his very best years during 1998.
