The Sickly Male is Hard to Flirt With

Good movie!

These guys are funny. Loved watching the actors interact. It's cheesy sure, but entertaining. Many of the reviews took it so personal that the actors weren't engaged with the homeless when they were serving them. Lol. It's a romantic comedy...and pretty enjoyable!

Enjoyable and several moments when the whole audice laughed out loud makes it a good sign of entertaining and funny movie. Reading some review by others have mentioned not relatable. For most people they might now find themselves in this situation I get it but what movies are relatable. I look for comedy films I judge them by is it entertaining and make me laugh and at the end it did both of these things were a check. I liked it was a clean movie that I could take my family to see and appreciate that it's not full of sexual content or pushing some political view on me. Likened to a Hallmark movie which this time of year feel good movies are nice to get me in the Christmas spirit.

Actors and actress were horrible, story line was boring, and honestly I didn't like it at all. But, it is not such a movie that no one enjoy it. If you are looking for killing some time with your family and just watch something funny, it could be good. But don't expect a lot of laughter. Have fun.

I don't have the energy for this. The movie sucked...I mean it really sucked. The writer of this movie must be very delusional. If I had to choose between changing soiled adult diapers all day or watch 10 minutes more of this movie, I'd bury my hands in Huggies!

I gave this movie two stars for the only two actors that were actually decent in this film- the grandpa Barry Corbin and the dad Patt Finn. Jon Heder did fine and had arguably the best lines in the movie and his wife was actually legitimately fun too. Honestly if the movie just focused on their relationship it might've actually been good. Instead we had two leads with zero chemistry and a third who was a complete doofus the whole time. Lawyer guy was completely over acted and might as well have been a cartoon character. The two leads had zero chemistry and weren't funny or relatable. They weren't bad per se, they were just so friggin BORING. My biggest gripe has to do with this script- it sucked. Pure and simple. It's not good. All these characters were completely one dimensional with zero depth. What's wrong with that? It gives me no reason to care about any of them. Lawyer guy was such a bafoon he couldn't tell that his fiancé and her ex were literally flirting right in front of him. Or maybe he just didn't care? I'm not sure but he acts all surprised by the end of the film when she dumps him for her ex which makes me thing he's just a complete imbecile. I don't believe someone that brain dead and with zero self-awareness or common sense could ever be a lawyer. His being socially inept also brought up another issue with the female lead actually LIKING this guy? WTF WHY??? I'm actually legitimately dumbfounded that the writer would make such a terrible character an object of desire for the lead. In the movie the very question of why she's with him is brought up and she struggles to come up with a reason and settles on, oh because he won't leave me. Yup that's your strong female lead- a woman who is so insecure that she'd rather stay with a brain dead moron than take her chances with literally anyone else. She owns a super successful magazine for crying out loud! You mean to tell me that a beautiful, highly successful businesswoman, can't find someone better that a brain dead idiot lawyer or an extra ordinary ex-boyfriend? Yeah and let's talk about that diamond too- her ex boyfriend is supposedly this hilarious comedian but... isn't funny? We don't see any of his standup and in the scenes with the family he just plays the casual "perfect" straight man who does everything right and has zero imperfections of any kind 🙄. Dudes a boy scout sure but hardly exciting. And he's supposedly got people clamoring to work with him? Again WTF WHY? You can't just say someone is funny and expect your audience to go with it, you're supposed to show us through dialogue and action. That's basic storytelling stuff. The two corporate people trying to buy the company were funnier and had better chemistry than your two LEADS. I'm seriously questioning the casting of this film, amongst other things. Heder should've had a bigger role, maybe as the romantic lead cause that guy wasn't good. Even then though you can only do so much with a script like this so who knows if that would've been enough. Not a movie I will ever recommend to anyone unless they're looking to die a slower death than a self-inflicted food coma at Thanksgiving.

Hilarious! The whole family loves this movie! Funny Thing About Love is clean and had us all cracking up. So many lines are quotable! Each time we watched it, we found new funny moments. So good and so fun! A must watch!

Best movie for thanksgiving dinners and family, you can also watch it with your friends and close ones as it's more engaging to the cost. I wish they would given the additional actors more screen time so that the whole movie as a group could be more engaging and more funnier.

I really liked this movie! I'm not really into romantic comedies that much, but when I watched this film, I was totally invested. There were some funny moments and some serious ones, which provided a good balance within the film. Overall, I thought it was a good movie and I would recommend it to family and friends.

I laughed all through this movie. From physical humor, wordplay, relatable observations, nostalgic references (Cheetara!!), and surprise twists, the laughs kept coming. The characters are relatable (my daughter may have cared a little TOO much about Luke Hudson) and you really feel a part of the family. Summer Bellessa makes you: 1) root for Samantha, 2) understand everything she is going through (and has gone through), and 3) hope against hope that she makes the right choice (no spoilers here, go see it!). Do yourself a favor and stay to watch the mid-credit scene, my daughter knew exactly what was going on but I was surprised and almost fell out of seat laughing when they made the reveal. Go see this movie!!
