The nWo became one of the most succesful factions and storylines in wrestling history, helping WCW defeat WWF Raw during the fabled "Monday Night Wars"... but over time, creative decisions concerning the nWo would leave fans either confused or reaching for the remote control. The break-up of The Outsiders and the storyline Scott Hall got involved in is considered by many to be one of the worst things WCW and Eric Bischoff produced during this time period. When Kevin Nash formed nWo Wolfpac, Scott Hall wasn't on TV. When Hall returned, he initially sided with Kevin Nash but Scott soon turned on his partner to join nWo Hollywood. Over time, a storyline developed that took a lot of inspiration from Scott Hall's very real personal issues where Scott would show up to WCW television shows after having one too many beverages.. and the storyline got so ridiculous that even Scott's family pleaded for it to end.
