There are so many things he does well and that is another video in itself. But in this fight you can tell that Ortiz loves throwing the uppercut which is by far one of the hardest punches to land and also his slip to the left and then throwing the southpaw left cross. This is always a perfect counter to throw after you can time or bait the orthodox cross. Also, he doesn't really waste his punches and the simple reason for that is that he is baiting his opponent and anticipating his moves with a high degree of accuracy which is borrowed from his experience. Another thing is that he is thinking defense, attack, and counterattack all at the same time. However what I want you to remember is that he is old, he's about 44 today and this fight was about when he was 35 boxing against Jennings who was about 30.
