However, in many ways it was a strange year for the promotion, yes, it was supposed to be a traditional year, the passing of the torch from one top star to the next right as the company was moving away from the 80’s and into the 90’s. Of course, as much as things change though, they always stay the same, and come December it looked very much like we were heading back towards the old status quo again.
