Could not see this through, the acting is terrible! The main character is mumbling and you cannot hear what his saying. The plot is shifting back and forth and it is impossible to keep up with the movie. I thought this was gonna be a good crime movie seeing the ratings, but there must be some paid users giving these ratings.
I've honestly been disappointed so far this year... there hasn't been too many neo-noir films that have had both the aesthetics and the storyline done right but this one is a winner. A Dark Foe is a dramatic film about a guilt ridden FBI agent who chases down a serial killer who had abducted his sister. All makes up for a great plot already! On top of that he suffers from a rare condition known as Nyctophobia. I honestly thought that was a made up condition but clearly it's the real deal and people actually do suffer from this condition. Anyway the film didn't drag out and the story has so many layers I was literally yelling at the screen and cheering on Tony Cruz to get the serial killer.
I found this movie in Itunes last night. At some point in the film I felt a bit overwhelmed by the different plot lines, however, those got resolved in a clever way.... recommended.
A Dark Foe is so much better than what the trailer actually looks like. All the actors including the pimp was convincing and you can tell they were really submerged into their characters. So in all it's a really well thought out film; nothing seemed rushed, the editing was on point and the ending totally surprised me. Well done to everybody involved and maybe we'll get a part 2 very soon?
This is a pretty good thriller flick. The movie is basically about Tony Cruz an FBI agent that hunts down a serial killer that had kidnapped his sister. The story unfolds into a wild and unpredictable plot that had me on edge right to the end. Well edited and the ending didn't disappoint. Giving is a 8.
Do not bother with other's reviews. This movie is worth watching, despite it's slow start.
From beginning to end, this thriller doesn't let you blink for a second. There are many storylines and you cannot miss out any details, otherwise you'll struggle to understand. A wide cast with even better performances!!
...after bingeing international soap operas and 80's martial arts movies. So yeah. The sheer amount of buffoonery jammed into every second of this movie will put you in a schizophrenic fit. There are like 25 plots going on - most are totally inept but a couple are slightly comical because this had to have been sold to the cast as a comedy, or parody. That or they were just collecting a check, keeping their SAG insurance active or in the processing of losing their ever-loving minds. I mean, were Cynthia Rothrock and the ghost of Robert Z'dar not available? I guess we will just have to live with another Baldwin, spawn of Sambora, Rash Road from Hobgoblins, Monte Markham and an actor actually named Weetus Cren. This does gets points for Graham Greene finally doing to Bill Bellamy what the MTV generation has long dreamed of. Sadly it doesn't merit the "so bad it's good" distinction. Does it need to be watched to be believed? Well, I can claim I survived the experience if I ever need a psych evaluation.
To start off, I am astounded that they got the actors they did to make this movie. I am not sure if it was the script or the director and editors that messed this up. There are too many story lines and none of them connect to any of the others. It turned out to be a jumbled mess that makes no sense what so ever. Just the disgusting and disturbing nature of this movie is enough reason to skip it, but add in the jumbled up story there is NO reason to watch this.
