This film is hands down one of the worst things I've watched in my entire life. The high ratings and good reviews of this are actually a joke.. As other people have already mentioned, this is not horror in any form and it's not comedy either. This is an extremely amateur film, from the production and acting, to the script, plot and filmography. If I could give this 0 stars I would. Anyone giving this high stars as a horror film is absolutely lost and does not know anything about quality films, especially when it comes to "horror". Do yourself a favour and avoid this disappointment at all cost.

Following the loss of her roommate, a woman trying to keep herself together to handle everything going on at the time is overwhelmed when her friend's pet cat bites her and escapes from their apartment which throws her life into further chaos when she suspects the bite is turning her into a cat. This was a fairly solid dramedy but a generally lackluster genre effort. The initial setup here with the stressful situation of dealing with the friend's death, detailing the funeral, and trying to maintain the semblance of a life she had before the incident provides a clear-cut explanation for her frazzled and closed-off mindset throughout. Wanting to deal with the escalating situation but also not left with any time to do anything herself on top of trying to catch the cat when he escapes their apartment loft which only compounds things further, this type of mental breakdown becomes far more warranted the more this goes on with the exploits of a newfound transformation following the bite as these all come off quite nicely overall. While there's a lot of fun to be had with the upcoming transformation and the generally impressive use of body-horror elements to pull it all off, the fact that it doesn't go for more genuine thrills makes for a difficult watch at times. The series of dreams and hallucinations where the feline instincts and behavior come about after the bite are never treated as though it's threatening to her condition what with the stupidity of failing to see a doctor and get it checked out but it's more treated as a coping mechanism for not being able to move on past her friends' death. That never lets anything happen here so it comes off without any genre material which can lead to some disappointment out there if you're not in the right mood. Rated Unrated/R: Violence and Language.

A bit of a stretch here as the recently deceased roommate of a girl who has a stray cat as her pet bites her roommate and she begins a weird transformation into what seems like part cat and part human. They could have done this far better if the victim actually turned into a giant cat with full fur and tail and everything, but instead we get a gross feast of her eating cat food and barfing a lot. With a very slight transformation in only her hand. She wanders around in a daze until for some reason taking a shower washes the effects away. Kind of a bummer watch and mostly a waste of time. Nothing questionable, no nudity and some foul language. If you have time to waste and play junk on your phone while the TV is on this movie would work.

I went into Booger expecting at least some level of horror, given the marketing and premise, but what I got was far from it. This film tries to present itself as a horror movie, but it lacks anything remotely scary or unsettling. Instead, it's more of a slow-burn drama about grief and personal relationships, with very little payoff for horror fans. The pacing is sluggish, and it feels like the movie drags on without ever building tension. The characters spend too much time brooding, and while there's an attempt at creating an eerie atmosphere, it never quite lands. There are no jump scares, no real sense of dread, and absolutely nothing that makes this even borderline horror. It's as if Booger is trying to cash in on the trend of elevated horror, but it forgets to actually include the horror part. If you're looking for a psychological drama, this might appeal to you, but horror fans will likely walk away feeling disappointed and misled.

This movie has no elements of Horror, Fantasy or Comedy at all. Maybe some drama since its just a girl's one hours 18 minutes approx long story of come to accept that her friend has passed away. Seems like a very amateur college movie project which I'm not sure it is or not. The high stars given to this cannot be justified in my opinion. The tragedy is the genres tagged to this move and they are totally absent, and it should tagged to drama or something. No recommended. Teh description is misleading. Nothing personal against this movie but it's just not good and this is just a head up that this movie has no story or direction or ending even.

Well ... as the title of my review suggests, the blurb about this being a "transformation film" is highly misleading. As are the classifications as horror, fantasy or comedy. It was not all I expected when I went to see it, given the blurb. But it held my attention and in the end I found it absolutely worthwhile and would happily recommend it to viewers if they adjust their expectations accordingly. It was well acted, the direction was great, and the cinematography was good with some interesting gimmicks. There are scenes that suggest a transformation, but it doesn't really happen, it's all in the mind of the main character, who can't come to terms with the death of her close friend and flatmate. So, you see, it's a drama that deals with grief (or the failure to deal with it properly) and how this failure causes the main character's whole world to fall apart, culminating in nightmarish visions (lucid dreams? Psychotic episodes?). There are a few comedic elements in the film, and they helped the flow as far as I'm concerned. P. S.: I totally disagree with the other reviewer that there's no story, no direction, no ending.
