Quite enjoyed this film, it shows how the mind can be manipulated, and how cruel some people can be.
...but it was bad. Nothing much happens, and when it does - it has no sufficient explanation. Also, her eyes were un-normal and distracting. I was relieved when it ended.
Too slow , very very slow.. put me to sleep numerous times.
I had high hopes - it seems, now, because of the shill reviews that I didn't take adequate care in vetting. A continuing problem on IMDB - and something that makes me abhor the producers/distributors for encouraging such a thing. Look at all three 10-star reviews mysteriously from 17th Jan - all accounts with a single, glowing review for this relatively obscure film. No mystery - they are shill reviews. The film is so slow and pretentious its a definition of inefficiency. Something useful could have been made of the premise, with a better writer, actors, editor and producer. A tight black-mirror episode is in there someway, exploring the collision of isolation with AI technology (or something). The film is so extremely dull and unengaging, I challenge you to watch 40 minutes without micro-sleeping or pondering on other things. Terrible trash.
The plot sounded alright, but why only 2 people on a 4 person submarine, and he said he was going to see a friend, then never went there? Neither of them make any mention of this, after that, which makes no sense, since she had second thoughts about staying, and would insist. Why would she not question him and demand that he do as he promised. How can she not recognize herself as a kid? Did she never look in a mirror? It seems as if they were originally going to make a completely different film, then decided, to wrap it up, as this terrible psycho rubbish, that will never be anything. The acting is also terrible. You kind of excuse it, at first, but then it just becomes annoyingly fake, as they do stuff that the intelligent characters they are supposed to be, wouldn't do. She would NEVER agree to take part in the tank, since she is portrayed as being that stubborn and headstrong. Also that woman "half warning" her, why not just blurt out the warning. That is as annoying as people who switch to slow motion during a horror movie, scared people would hurry to check what is bugging them, but then you ca't have that music and suspense buildup, however unrealistic it is. If you liked this (all these 10s ??? seriously?) there are loads of slow rubbish films for you: Check out The Connection (2021), The Pond (2021) and I Trapped the Devil (2019). They are on par with this crap.
At first I was wondering where this movie will lead to with strong dialogs who makes you think... Then you get drawn into the story and it never let's you go till the last minute. A good and strong story that has great tension till the end. My compliments toward the director and his crew. Really admirable accomplishment to create such a movie with such a small budget. A must see for all Thiller fans!
This was woefully bad, basically looked like an exam offering or a college student project. It is plainly obvious that the 10 out of 10 reviews are from the creators of this mind numbingly boring piece of cinema. The acting is hammy, the story is bland and flat, this is not worth your time to watch. Obviously with the big guns of cinema holding back until the world gets back to normality, there is a lack of quality new movies available. My advice would be to give an airing to old favourites and bypass this extremely poor effort of a thriller
As the pandemic continues to ravage the world and mainline filmmakers hold back, many aspirant new offerings are flooding the market. Initially these movies receive fantastic ratings, but as more and more viewers give their real opinions (or rating), the tide turns. Buoyancy is one of them and more. It is also riding on a 2019 movie with the same name, but is an idiotic psychotic offering not fit for normal viewers. There are no appropriate words to denounce this utter rubbish comprising two people in a 4-man submarine, one the inventor and the other a student. They should be figuratively speaking eradicated, plus the makers of this aberration.
It keeps your mind in the movie from beginning till the end. Strong dialogs and really well made shots. A absolute watch for everyone !
Great movie that keeps you in tension the all the time. Great to see what a young, starting and ambitious direcor and crew can achieve!! 10 points rate anytime!!
