Was not expecting much from a budget film but was pleasantly surprised kept me entertained from beginning to end actors did a marvelous job plus cgi for rapter were excellent loved it.
I expected another cruddy creature feature and was pleasantly surprised with this movie. The acting was very good. The CG was pretty good and all in all it was a fun watch. There was a couple of minutes right before the end that I thought was not funny at all. Thankfully it did not end on that. Apart from that one bit, very, very watchable. Good fun.
What an amazing movie! Gorgeous action, gorgeous visuals, a very interesting movie because it has three elements in it,,,, I really recommend it. It's a really good movie!
Many are cynical and preoccupied with self-absorbing knowledge of the thinker, leaving mediocre reviews or at best mediocre descriptions. A very good movie with good setting and action. The whole family is having a great time together. It was the best movie ever!
But this kept me more entertained than any big budget movie I've seen in a while.. a light hearted good ol horror moof.. cheers.
I give it 4 stars for the good CGI and the good acting of the girl. The acting of all the other characters was really bad. The plot is non-existent. I mean, the preview tells you literally what it is about: two people get chased around by a raptor for an hour and half. No backstory, no drama, no complexity, and the attempts at humor were pretty bad. Sorry to the people who made it, as I know you put your heart into it, but I just did not find it to be a good movie (the girl's good acting aside).
Taking a road trip through the desert, a woman and her friend trying to make an appointment in the city are stranded by an accident near a supposedly abandoned ghost town where they find a genetically-engineered dinosaur is running loose and must try to outsmart it and get away alive. Overall, this one turned out to be quite fun for the most part. One of the better features here is the somewhat enjoyable setup that allows them to spend time in the eerie abandoned town. Featuring the roadside accident in the middle of the desert while out on their trip, this part offers a fine initial factor to get them stranded and explore the town. These here are generally eerie and chilling, as their eerieness of being alone in the desert, the fading light, and inability to recognize anyone around them in the creepy location by themselves offer up a great start to this one. With that setup in place, the film's quite enjoyable with a fun series of dinosaur attacks. After the first attack on the worker and the first escape scenes where it tries to take out the others around the town, it all leads perfectly into the fantastic series of cat-and-mouse chases throughout the night as the action picks up nicely. The series of escapes, near-misses, and trap attempts that go alongside the suspense of the creature chasing them throughout the town and the ingenuity of managing to get out of the situation is great fun, and with the incredible effects-work on the creature gives this a lot to like. There isn't much to hold this back, and it all comes in the final half with this one doing a complete turn-around from the kind of film it had been before. After giving the escape and reveal of what's going on, the utterly bizarre twist here revolving around the stand-up comedy routine and resulting dream here is completely ridiculous and feels completely removed from the type of content that was on display before. It's not interesting or exciting, just illogical and nonsensical as well as quite idiotic, and along with the lack of gore at all generates the few flaws on display. Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Language and Violence.
This is a great movie, it's really funny and a really weird love letter to Jurassic Park. The jokes are on point and the movie does a good job with the raptor even if it is only moderate in budget. The raptor moves well and has some nice secondary animation on it. Not a big fan of horror comedy cause 9/10 they rely way too much on crass or sexual jokes. But this movie pulls it off well.
But it literally runs out of ideas and clocks out at an hour. Then it gives us a single outtake before proceeding to scroll the world's SLOWEST credits for 13 minutes. There must have been some industry or union rule that this had to be just over 80 minutes to qualify for something. The dinosaur effects are silly and subpar so I am not too concerned about the dog who clearly went into hiding and changed his name.
