Its very rare that you come across a Horror/Comedy film with a decent budget and good actors, its even more rare to come across one that is fresh and original. "Deadheads" has all that and more. The story is something pretty new that hasn't ever really been done this well before. It moves a long at a very nice pace and it definitely didn't contain any dull moments. There were plenty of laugh out loud scenes and the gore was a nice touch. The ending was very unbelievable and over the top but that was easily forgivable since the film was so good. The acting was surprisingly very good, some of the characters were a little corny but it was obvious that they set out to make them that way. Cheese stole the show! "DeadHeads" is a hilarious Horror/Comedy that deserves a lot of credit. The best Horror/Comedy since Shaun Of The Dead. 9/10

There are a BILLION zombie movies out there all the way from the truly excellent to the truly excrement. Some are just to show some nudity. Some are just to show someone's attempt at social commentary. Some are because some up and coming FX guy has a talent-boner he wants to thrust into our collective cosmic cine-a-vaginas. Or some video editing genius needs to show something for the 5,000 megazillion hours he spend on his awesome computer. In his momma's basement? Probably not but you get the point. Sometimes a movie comes along that manages to combine some comedy, some drama, some shennanigans, and some pathos. And give you a darn good zombie movie. When it does so on a modest budget it's all the more surprising. Deadheads is a movie like that. You have a nice twist on the genre at the start. I like how at one point the classic people in the house fighting off the outside zombie menace has two unique tweaks to the situation. I like how they actually add life to some of the characters that are not in the movie very long. I like how there wasn't 45 million dollars spent on CGI effects that ended up looking horrible. I like the over the top scenery chewing by.. I think his name is Dinkle or something.. the asshole with the mustache. The sidekick is a little over the top at times but it's always hard to get the formula perfectly right in a buddy movie like this one. They come pretty darn close. It didn't quite all tie up at the end perfectly, but it does quite a bit better than most zombie movies. It's no Walking Dead but it's certainly no Return of the Living Dead part 4 either! I watched it, I rather liked it, I'd even watch it again. It is NOT one of the multitude of Zombie DVDs that flies into the trash can amidst a hail of obscenities. Check it out! You'll be glad you did. My only gripe is: not enough nudity. As in No Nudity. Which makes my pants sad. So I gotta subtract 1 from its potential rating.

Humor is in the eye of the beholder. So while the quirky way this movie decides to take, is not everyones taste, even those who don't like it that much, have to admit, that it sticks to its plan. Of course that doesn't help with those who won't like it from the get go. But at least you know, this isn't for you then. There's other movies that try a similar formula (one's hidden in my summary line, the other being Revenant ... though I can only recommend the latter as an alternative, even if not as good as this one), but none have a thorough story or the actors to back it up, as does this movie. Not without flaws, but as good as it gets in that genre and not just trying to be cool, but actually achieving it. I can only hope that you can enjoy it as much as I did ...

Ha OK I'am a total bona-fide Dead head;I have seen to many zombie movies for my own good and I'm always on the search and look out for the best new zombie movies, which this one had a lot of potential of living up to that standard. Sadly at the end of the movie I was so disappointed in the plot, and lack of zombidom. What would of helped the movie is the backdrop of a zombie Apocalypse, which the plot summary and beginning kind of alluded to.I did enjoy the makeup, and the idea of conscious zombies,on a mission. I also enjoyed the pet zombie they had"cheese";had some good comic relief, yet I just wished the two main zombie characters would of just ate some more brains! That would of added some conflict to the movie,to eat or not to eat; not to mention it would of gave the zombie hunters who were following them something to do beside being douches.I'm sure the writer had his reasons for leaving out the HORROR...and instead opting out for comedy and romance, but still the movie was lacking as a result.Anyways If you like buddy cop films, and zombies than this movie is for you, just don't expect to much blood and zombies try something like "The Horde" or watch the T.v series "The Walking Dead".

Hilarious and original take on zombie movies, albeit from the point of view of two cognizant zombies. Nerdy Mike "awakens" from being murdered three years earlier to find himself re-animated amidst a zombie feeding frenzy, and runs into another self-aware zombie in "never take anything seriously" Brent and a trainable hulking zombie named Cheese. Together with Vietnam vet Cliff they escape quarantine and embark on a road trip to find Mike's old flame in Michigan, all the while being chased by nefarious secret ops hellbent on their recapture. This is one wild ride from start to finish and everyone involved does a great job of bringing such a fresh idea to the screen and making us hope for a sequel.

This film was a delight to watch and had everything every self-respecting movie buff would want... horror, comedy, action, and romance supported by a solid story and a highly entertaining script. The Pierce Brothers deliver plenty of laughs and tender moments between the onslaught of gore that is expected from any decent zombie movie. The story is described as: "Two zombie slackers, Mike and Brent, find themselves surprisingly reborn from the dead amid a disastrous zombie outbreak. After discovering an engagement ring in his coat pocket, Mike enlists his new found zombie pal, Brent, to embark on a quest in search of his lost love. What ensues is a hilarious cross country road trip as these two reformed flesh-eating pals hitch-hike across the country as they are pursued by a team of zombie killin' bounty hunters!" The cast are fantastic! Michael McKiddy and Ross Kidder play a great duo as our leads but the noteworthy nods go to Ben Webster's Zombie Assassin McDinkle and Marcus Taylor playing the lovable deadite Cheese. Both performances steal almost every scene they appear in! I am pleased that the film has been given a US distribution as I'm sure people will love it as I do!! Check it out, you won't be disappointed!!

I can understand that people really liked this zombedy. But it is just a few weeks ago that I saw two other US comedies namely, Vampires Su*k and Tucker and Dale vs Evil. It was very simple, Vampire Su*k was indeed a big su*k but Tucker was hilarious. Why, because it had stupid situations and misunderstandings. People who knew me know that I'm not into Us comedies except a few like Tucker. Sadly Deadheads failed for me. I had a few laughs, for example the gym with the zombie they called Cheese. that was funny, but ripping off an arm and putting it back on place to move further isn't funny anymore. On the other hand there are a few good things too, I was looking forward for McDinkle (Benjamin Webster). He's the kind of guy you all know, I had a few laughs with him but the main characters weren't convincing. It isn't all comedy, in fact, it's a love story between a guy being killed and turned into a zombie going to find his love. But they never got into stupid situations. On the gory part there is more to see, there are a few good things to see like the decapitation. My mouth moved a few times but not enough to call it great. With Tucker for example I was laughing out loud. I'm sure that it will have his fans but this time I didn't dig it, sorry. Gore 2/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 2/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 2/5
