It's clear that the librarian is the culprit. Why the actor doesn't investigate the librarian but instead going back to the hounted house . The book will be lost and then will be back to the library. Who did that? The librarian. How does he know where to find that book? Does he have nfc tagged to that book? Many questions unanswered. 1. Why the people suicide and trap in the parrellel world? What is their purpose in that world.why this people are selected. What criteria they have to be the chosen 2. The librarian again, First he was working in public library, Then he is also a senior staff in the college. How come?
The hype makes no sense for the nonsensical plot. I liked the first movie in this series. The comedy worked and the horror elements were also interesting. Here the comedy is non-existent. Horror is a mish mash of all Hollywood horror movies with no logic or sequence. And the casting is horrendous. As all the lead characters in the first part are dead and we need the Hero back, a convoluted non-linear plot is created to save the Hero which involves a twin brother. We see the worst piece of editing/screenplay possible in this whole sequence, might be a good idea to see how to do this in movies like Maanadu. After linking the plot to the previous movie in the most ridiculous way possible , the movie proceeds to get all its horror elements. Since we cant blatantly copy exorcism and other tropes, they bring a Tibetean occultist to show their creativity. And the irony the lead character is named Raghunandan but they never ever think of reciting Hanuman Chalisa, the most potent weapon against evil spirits. Then when they cant do much with the Tibetean angle, Satanic angle is introduced to prolong the plot. The horror scenes are prolonged and irritating and not scary in any sense. Arulnithi is an actor with lot of potential but he has no chance to show anything here. The first part had no lead actress but the side characters were all brilliant actors with great comic timing. The lead actress here gets more screen space than Hero. And she is the most cringe in all scenes. She is very average looking but that would not matter if she had acting chops. But with bad acting and average looks, you wish the ghosts would get her and spare us the horror of watching the movie. The side actors(including Arun Pandian) are also insipid with one of the girls overacting to irritating levels. .And there is a third part planned with Pranav Mohanlal!
It is a well executed movie. The acting was good and the director has gone an out of the way to bring logic in a horror movie to connect the new story. There are a few things executed differently from the regular cliche. There is one big issue with though, it is trying to sell superstition as science. I understand that it is a movie but in the age of misinformation an average viewer will just take things at the face value. Seriously? Quantum entanglement? And there is a mixture of Buddhism and Christianity. I am no expert but I don't think Buddhism has any such superstitions. I liked the first version better but you can still give it a watch once.
Demonte Colony part 1 is good, taking part 2 just to get more money. No story, no screenplay. Worst casting - Priyani - she is not acting good, making thing worse. And casting most of them are good. Dragging the story just to make money. Pros: Few scenes are good. Some hints to third part (still not over :) ) torture continues . graphic is good. background music is good. Cons: bad casting - most of worst expressive actors group no story to hookup and watch until end. Very boring after starting to end part. Middle is worst. No engaging story, just dragging to create a movie length. Kindly request to end this parts.
Good movie!
Who is giving this movie 8-9 stars.... Everything about this movie is bad...the movie is jumping all around the place....the acting is bad.... Especially from the female. Lead.... She is so bad...Never in my lifetime of watching a movie i wanted a lead character to just die so the movie can end.... Or maybe the director of the movie was bad.... Idk... The horror in this movie is irritating & will make you fall asleep....the plot feels forced. The cgi is bad... The music is bad... Editing is bad.... Some practical effects and set design are good.. But thats about it... Also why this movies is registered under horror/comedy... Where is the comedy aspect here...
After a long time, it was worth watching a decent tamil horror movie with a superb theatrical viewing experience. Kudos to SAM C S for such an impactful background score throughout all the horror scenes. One very important precaution to mention is the movie involves lot of suicidal depiction scenes and it is very best to avoid watching with kids and younger family people. I did see lot of small kids in theatres screaming and scared to death on certain jump scare scenes. Wish someone stopped them from allowing them in theatres. Also the way they have connected all the dots from the first part in every detail possible and giving a suspense lead to the next part towards the climax was brilliantly done. ( I am most compelled to write in detail on the climax suspense but I will save it to edit later for you all to watch it in theatre and experience it yourself ) Even though so many horror scenes were relatable to Conjuring, exorcist and other Hollywood movies, the attempt to make it close to perfect in Tamil movie is applaudable effort. It was such an edge of the seat experience to watch it in theatre and worth it with spine chilling background score. Only drawback was on Arun Pandian's voice, which was not connecting to the horror content. Wish someone could have given a good dubbing for him. Otherwise, all the actors have indeed done their best part to keep us engaged through out the second half. Also it is comparatively a great sequel in spite of the worst less engaging sequels that released recently. So overall to summarise the verdict, it is a great watch with slightly boring first half ( with all too much of extreme love sentiments ) but very much worth thrilling horror second half. A must watch in theatre for all horror movie fans out there.
Its not a movie just begining stroy thrilling and gripping experience smooth flow storyline and waiting for demonty colony 3.this movie contains a lot of thrilling experience like conjuring,IT and evil dead movie.thrilling from start to finish, this horror movie delivers a perfect blend of suspense and scare. The atmosphere is incredibly immersive, and the twists keep you on the edge of your seat. It's a must-watch for any fan of the Part 1 The actors deliver standout performances that truly elevate the film. Each character is portrayed with depth and authenticity, drawing viewers into their fear and tension. Supporting roles are equally compelling, adding layers to the story. Overall, the cast brings a powerful and emotional presence that makes the horror even more impactful The background score is well crafted, heightening the film's tension and emotional depth. Its haunting melodies and eerie soundscap.
Guys Its worth it to Watch in theater because the way the connected the first Movie and part two was really good . Clear and precise connection . A good come back for the director after cobra . Arulnithu script selection Its always unique . PBS extraordinary acting and also a good come back for her . It was superb writing The title card for the Movie placement was good and unexpected as well . It was engaging the screen play and all the other actors have lived the character. A sure worth to Watch in theater i felt like i went to a proper ghost Movie which i enjoyed . I would give 10/10 because of the connection they way they engaged the viewers in story .
Firstly before any spoilers giving 10/10 just for Arulnithi. Always a fan of his movies and him being King of Horror movies nailed it once again, this time in dual roles. In terms of the movie, I love how they perfectly interlap the first part and second part. Kudos to the Director for seamlessly bringing it into the 2nd part. I love the way the movie start, I love how the movie developed however my only disappointment was certain scenes ie the aquarium scene, the bats flying scene which personally I felt overdone & overstretched. Other than that I was hoping for a connection of Sarjano Khalid's to the whole story which was missing apart from the fact that Sarjano read the book but i still dont get why his soul still wandering. PBS nailed in her character, she was really good and a redemption for Indian 2. Archana as sister role was equally good. Overall despite the flaws I love it and would look forward for what unfolds in Demonty Colony 3 (which I wish they released earlier).
