Good movie!

Dharavi Bank is an action-packed thriller that I highly recommend. The writers did an excellent job creating a clever and complex story line with plenty of twists and turns. If you want to watch something entertaining, this is it. I don't know what I can say, other than that the network where Disjointed is available has this show and they are doing me a huge favor. The show is well written and it portrays the cannibas industry quite fairly. The story line for Dharavi Bank is fantastic and it has me hooked. Vinay Virmani, who plays the lead role of Vivek Oberoi, is excellent in his depiction of an ambitious entrepreneur whose intentions are never evil but always shrouded in mystery.

This series is fabulous. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes action and good story lines. I binge watched this entire series just now and it was so good. Superb and nice movie . This series will make you drive the way Mumbai operates behind its great business image in the world. Even if a person not from Mumbai or Maharashtra, will come to know why Mumbai is such a power in the country of INDIA... This series will make KGF saying correct - "Powerful people comes from powerful places.. NOOOO... Powerful PEOPLE MAKES PLACES Powerful". In largest slum of Asia, Big things are operated..!! Very well written, edited and screenplay. Actingwise, ALL have made thier best. Vivek Obroi and Anna (Sunil Shetty) at the TOP. Never felt in the series to forward even once, But yes made backwards quite a few times for the dialogues and scenes :) In whole - WORTH WATCHING - WAITING for S02 Its a MIRZAPUR (From MUMBAI)..!! :)

I normally done write reviews, but this series encouraged me to. The acting of Suniel Shetty is top notch and the presentation of series is great. BUT there is no character building and no plot. Its a typical 1,5 hour movie stretched in to 10 episodes. They tried a very very weak attempt of climax in 5th episode. It seemed like an unplanned climax, more like an episode written by director himself while writer was on vacation. I stopped watching it after that. If they had gone to character development of Thaliavan it would have been like Sacred Games. They inserted non essential romantic angles between characters just to build Viveks character. His acting was good but his character development made no sense.

As Thalaivan, Sunil Shetty turns up Bollywood's Nth iteration of Don Vito Corleone. Character is nearly lifted from the Mario Puzo book down to how his sons behave and how he overcomes a near mortal assassination attempt. Sunil matches the lift with copying Brando's mannerisms and voice modulations. There are the obligatory cast members: a prototypical honest policeman looking to avenge a loved one's loss; a couple staying separate but not letting go of each other after losing a child; politicians - some more corrupt than others but none trustworthy; their rotten offsprings; a prostitute looking for a way out of a dirty world; a pan-Indian assortment of underworld underlings; an infiltrator...none of that new. Then there is totally unnecessary and way excessive gore. They must show a lot of blood +/- body-parts with each violent death to make sure the audience gets how violent the gang is, the cops are. In the end, all that gore takes away from the experience, does not add to it. The scenes of Thalaivan on life support and then recovering and how family members act around him takes the web series back to the days of daily-soaps and their mindless melodrama. ...and of course, a web series must predictably keep enough threads lose at the end to open doors for the next season. What is good is the performances of the three lead and many secondary actors that is impressive beyond what they have offered in past decades. Dharavi itself is its most visceral version (even more so than Slumdog Millionaire and Gully-Boy) accentuated by gripping background score.

Suniel Shetty stands tall among all in this epic series. This is one of his best performances till date on par with his roles in Mohra, Gopi Kishan, Border, Krishna, Hera Pheri, Dhadkan and Main Hoon Na. His portrayal of Thalaivan is supreme. The plot, even though dragged at times, manages to keep the viewers engaged. Vivek Oberoi as always impresses in his role as the police officer. The others too have done their bit and make it a must watch series. The depiction of Dharavi is astounding. Kudos to the director, writer and the entire team. The first episode might seem slow but I urge viewers to continue watching as the series picks up pace with each episode.
