Good movie!

Might have been titled: WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE'S BLOODY REVENGE. An occasionally lurid quirky-indie of a troubled, borderline cray Catholic girl's angsty coming-of-age in a stereotypical indie suburban hellscape, EXCISION is, by turns, undistinguished, uninspired, and uninteresting. Borrowing heavily from a cornucopia of better movies by better directors (Solondz, Lynch, Aronofsky, Waters, even Araki), the film manages to be clichéd even at its most original, lurching to a conclusion that undermines any legitimacy in its premise. Decent performances fail to compensate for the mediocre direction and (at best) marginally competent script. Aiming for DONNIE DARKO, this disturbed-suburban-teen quirky indie only manages to be DONNIE DARK, DANK & DISMAL-O.
Thoroughly enjoyed Excision, especially AnnaLynne McCord's performance. This film deals with some unfortunately very real family situations yet takes it to a dark extreme that is most artistic and well done. Definitely will not be everyone's cup of tea, so to speak, as we all have different tastes, but I was very pleasantly surprised and could not have enjoyed it more, especially the build up to the ending which was exceptional and hauntingly stayed with me, particularly the last minute. But to get there, one must watch this dark and slightly comedic at times film which has many different elements and is excellent throughout its entirety. McCord really surprised me and I was pleased to see her in this role which is so different from any other she has done, and good for her! Not all actors would break out and do this, so I commend her for her role here. A must see for Horror-Fantasy-Dark-Artistic film buffs.
Not worth the film it was printed on. Just strangely dumb. Flintstones would be a better choice. Wish I could start the day over again and not see this. Just a horrible movie.
yeeeech. All the stuff about periods and what not really grossed me out, and not in the good entertaining kind of way i went into this movie expecting. no this was more of a repulsive type gross out. Probably a good one for girls who like horror movies kind of movie and not so much for guys. What i did like about this movie however was the main character, she was so twisted and psosiopathic that i just couldn't understand her and for that reason i could relate to the mother and understand her point of view. I was expecting that there would be some sort of revalation concerning this girl and lets just say it didn't end the way i thought it would, it was quite breathtaking and the ending was one of the best endings I've seen in a while, it woke me right up and i had to turn on smoe family guy to relax me and clear my brain. For evoking that particular emotion in me i commend this film, unfortunately there's all that menstral stuff....
No spoilers This is one of the worst scary, creepy, horror, comedy films of all time. Serious let down, before I got this movie, I read up about it on all of these forums about how amazing it was. Its not it tries way to hard the acting is mediocre. The whole story line is predictable and the gory bits for me were a bit PG when you have seen films like irreversible, martyrs and so on. Its boring and drags on the fantasy sequences are very repetitive until the end and in my opinion waste of 1 hour and 21 minutes of my life. If you haven't seen the movies I mentioned above I would recommend you watch these first.
I have the same opinion as Kacy Green, worst piece if crap I have ever seen these morons who write, produce, direct & act in this type of garbage should be locked up for life in an institution with the most the most mentally deranged, psychotic and criminally violent, insane inmates. Have 24x7 video surveillance of their daily confrontations and broadcast it to the film studio offices so other sick imbeciles will think before making this type of trash. There is way to much of this type of films being made which influences the weak minded into thinking this is entertainment and sometimes to copy this in real life. a rating of 1 is way too high for this film but unfortunately IMDb doesn't have a lower rating, they should have add a few new lower ratings for bad films. Avoid this movie and save your money for something worthwhile.
While the characters lacked development and dimension, 'Excision' is a quirky domestic comedy with a healthy dash of David Cronenberg-style body horror that surprisingly thoughtful, genuinely disturbing, and riveting to watch.
