Genuinely I expected better from this show and all the works of these actors cause I appreciate all of them but I'm little disappointed from the project cause I expected a great kidding to show but it was not really that... First to all the main story and the pitch it's very good it was very good draft but throughout the show the jokes was mostly very bad and not enough kidding even sometimes very heavy to watch, yet these all actors who are the creators of this show used to do a very good projects like " Five " available on Netflix cause it's very good movie and same actors to do this project and I think so the tv show it will be great and I thought very better than the movie of " Five " well ... not, it's was vey less good cause not enough moments kidding so bad .... Even if a few moments was very kidding some scenes was very crazy and very good that I re-watched a lot of times but it was just a few unfortunately... The cast that I love disappointed me a lot, their acting was bad and even I mean their acting was sometimes overplayed very so bad !!! The directing by the way was very good very stand out with good shots ! The ending was good and some moments the script was different that we used to do very stand out script but bad jokes very great point from the movie with acting ... I hope so that they will be great for a next project like that cause they are all talented !
I have never laughed this much in a while, especially watching a movie/tv show. I had hysterical laughter that I couldn't stop multiple times. However, this is because of the French jokes and references that only a French would understand, due to the language puns, or culture references. If you're looking for this show and you're not French or at least B1/B2 learning French or are living/have lived in France, this show is not funny and must feel stupid. The point of this show is not the plot, as the story keeps changing to match the jokes. The number of jokes happening in the series is just absurd and never ending, with puns every min. If you're looking for something light and not too focused, just to entertain yourself, I'd advise watching it.
There is some really truly funny comedy in here there is a little bit too much of Pierre Niney but if we can get over that some of the ancillary characters, come up with lines at times which will slay you completely the young girl Juliette Gasquet when she says "working girl on the tarmac got it " had me in stitches. The problem here is that the storyline is moronic okay we get it he made a film and everything went south that is it that is the storyline there is nothing else to it so the entire piece is only held together by the incredible acting skills and personalities here and some of the comedy lines which one feels at times were improvised by the players themselves Some of the lines by François Civil are totally astounding as is his delivery But overall the storyline is incredibly unidimensional we do not care if we are not in the business of filmmaking or want to be in the business of filmmaking how about those films are made this is so tedious as interesting as going to a bakery and instead of the guy handing you two baguettes and the fact that he had to get up at 3 o'clock in the morning and knead for an hour and a half we don't care this is not what we came here for or going to a Dentist and he explaining to you the intricacies of his training we have no interest in what goes on behind the scenes just give us a good story acted properly and if it is a comedy as it is here make us laugh there are countless movies made over the years I remember La nuit américaine (1973) by the highly revered François Truffaut all those years ago same exact problem Anyway if you want to face seven episodes of actors and actresses showing you how difficult it is to be them and be paid handsomely for the privilege watch this and yes there will be some humongously funny one-liners and jokes again probably if you are not of a Gallic persuasion they will ride past you leaving no mark whatsoever this is what the French call Franco-French humour really only compatible with the local market (which it is aimed at anyway) But yes some good giggles ....
