Girl At The Window was an entertaining slasher/thriller with a few elements of horror added in. The acting was top notch, especially from the always reliable Vince Colosimo and Radha Mitchell. Ella Newton is likeable enough and James MacKay brings the goods as the deranged serial killer. I also loved the musical score, it added a sense of fun to the film despite the fact that it is a slasher. A young girl suspects her next door neighbour is a serial killer called the Clockwork Killer. He also happens to be dating her mother. There are some very tense scenes and a couple of nice scares, especially in a couple of bedroom scenes when the girl thinks she sees the killer lurking in a dark corner of the bedroom. I liked the way the movie built up the creep factor while still keeping it a slasher movie. This is a great movie to watch if you are in the mood for a thriller/slasher movie.

I honestly have no idea why this movie is rated so poorly. The plot was good, the acting was good, and the surprise twist was good. Honestly, I think people have been spoiled by all the trash TikTok videos or something. There is no way this movie should be reviewed and starred so badly. It held my attention to the surprising and excellent ending. I guess some people don't understand the category of psychological mysteries/thrillers/horror. I did suspect who was the killer early on in the movie, but the writers threw out some excellent red herrings. I wanted the main character to be the final girl.... I was rooting for her. I don't believe in giving spoilers, so I'll just leave the ending for you to discover. Recommended!

This movie gets a hard time from reviewers but as thrillers go, I rate it better than sixty percent of what I've watched. It did keep me guessing and there were a couple of proper scary moments thrown in. The acting was pretty good overall, most characters were convincing and it had a fairly strong plot that admittedly could have been fleshed out more. On the negative side, the serial killer is rather unconvincing and the police failure to find him also. All in all as a thriller fan, I was pleasantly surprised having read some pretty terrible reviews. So I would recommend giving it a go. If you don't agree then you can thumbs down this review.

This film was exceptionally well written, and had very unclunky dialogue, this writer should have won best screenplay at the oscars, therefore showing the bias from the oscars. But this bias is further shown in the fact that it didnt win best film at the oscars. The performances were amazing. There are not enough words to describe how amazing this film is. I hope that the sequel will be just as exceptional in the writing, directing and editing of this masterpiece. Would highly recommend. The only other piece of media that i would give ten stars is rise of afghanistan cricket, kings of kabul, the story of ramanullah gurbaz and hazratullah zazai 162* vs Ireland. Was a very scary horror and thrilling film. If anyone gives below ten stars they don't understand film.

Unlikeable protagonist, terrible story, amateur acting. The initial 10 minutes were promising with what appeared to be a typical, yet entertaining, horror film set in a small town centering around a likeable, witty, yet troubled character haunted by memories of her father's death. The film then descends into a frustratingly predictable draw out affair. The lead character is beyond irritating, becoming unlikeable. In all honesty I was hoping she would meet her demise at the killers hands, this did not eventuate sadly. I agree with the sentiment that it's just bad bad, not even capable of being in the "so bad it's good" category.

In a word - bad. I won't dedicate much time to reviewing a project this bad. Radha Mitchell has made some great films, but she is only a supporting role here. The lead actress is good, but you can only do so much with a terrible script. The villain is a terrible actor, but not as terrible as whoever was in charge of the post-production. The sometimes inappropriate and always overbearing mood music will drive most viewers crazy. Altogether, this isn't just bad - it's multi-dimensionally bad. I removed it from my collection. And, there are moments when it's WAY too loud and overwhelms the dialog - in places where there doesn't need to be music. Amateurish.); Total RealReview Rating: 2.

Well here we go. You have a young girl traumatized by her dad's death. After a move from the city with her mom the daughter suspects her moms new boyfriend is responsible for her classmates disappearances and murders. So acting like a detective she sets out to prove who's behind the murders. When finished with this movie I was debating about what score to give it and it was between 5-6. Well needless to say I didn't hate the movie but it wasn't great either. Some of the music choices were definitely questionable. The chemistry between the mom and daughter was good. Overall this was a nice attempt for a slasher flick. As far as a recommendation I'd say yeah give a go. The kills were good. Timothy Treakle.

Whoever let this one pass the final inspection should be fired immediately, 90 minutes of my life wasted, it was so bad I had to write a review, in my 26 years of life I've never even considered reviewing a movie online but this one was so terrible I couldn't resist, if your considering watching this show please don't do it, the soundtrack to this makes me feel like I'm reliving the first jaws movie all over again and to make it even worse it took her 12 hours to get down the stairs? One minute it's midnight and she's running down to the kitchen to get a knife and the next it's midday and she's only just made it out the front door, I'm so disappointed that I've even taken the time to start a petition to get this removed from all viewing platforms, it should be banned! Makes me ashamed to be Australian.

What a maddening film! No cops would behave this way, dismissing any tips, knowing full well there is a serial killer on the loose! And what mother discounts every single thing her daughter says - even if the daughter IS still grieving her father? This is the worst mother-figure I've seen in awhile - and I watch a bunch of Lifetime dreck! Why the need for the incessant flashbacks to a family tragedy, making us think the daughter actually IS crazy?? Worst of all, for me, anyway, was the completely off-kilter reactions of some characters in scary or dangerous situations, who crack wise and become flippant or even defiant. And the killer's motives? He admits it himself, that he really doesn't have any. The actress who plays the unlikeable daughter on Harrow is also kind of unlikeable here.
