Anybody who managed to make it to the end of Hayride (2012) will know that the hulking sack masked psycho from the fields did not die in the original movie. At least the first film was bad in a semi fun way, this sequel however is simply abysmal. The acting is atrocious, the paper thin plot is awful, it's boring and features the most inept police force in the USA, despite their manpower, weapons etc it's down to two local lads to find and put an end (?) to old Pitchfork. One of the worst slasher movies that I have had the displeasure to sit through, avoid!

Again they're trying to re-create Friday the 13th under another name this will probably never end. The upside to this movie is at 13:35 Sherri Eakin Shows you side boob from the left as far as I can tell it's all she's ever done and all you'll probably ever see from her. Past that you'll get nothing more from this movie then you would Friday the 13th. P. S You'll probably be better Off watching Friday the 13th.

I'm pretty much a sucker for any kind of slasher flick, no matter how uninspired the killer or story is. Figured I'd pop this on for some Halloween low B fun while I worked out in my gym one day. I think this movie suffered from some kind of identity crisis. It was as if it didn't realize it should just embrace being a low budget slasher flick, and instead it used it's horrible actors to try to force the audience to become touchy-feely on a backstory that wasn't even provided (I doubt watching the original Hayride is going to change my opinion)... and even if it was, it wouldn't have helped them any... because of the previously mentioned horrible acting. The moment between the nurse and one of the brothers dragged on for so long. The sad, dramatic music felt so out of place every time a character died, as the camera panned in on the anguish of the person who witnessed yet another friend die. Nothing wrong with that, if it wasn't for the fact that the writers gave us no reason to care for any of the characters. The music itself also felt off. It didn't feel like dramatic horror film music, but more like it belonged in a war movie. Once again, I have no idea what the creators were aiming for with this film. As with even better low budget horror films, it was filled with plot holes and horror tropes to the max. One of the brothers twice tries to fight off the killer with a small knife, and both times he fails miserably. That might have been the best part of the movie, and the only sliver of a saving grace for me. The hilarity and futility of this "hero's" attempt to attack the killer.

First of all I have to say considering this was made three years after the first movie it is impressive that it follows on directly from the previous's finale and includes the original cast. That kind of stuff makes all the difference and this franchise deserves a hat tip for that but that alone. Pitchfork returns and continues his killing spree with the previous movies survivors trying to stop him and as with the first you'll see nothing even remotely original and wall to wall clichés. Again it's not entirely terrible it's just poorly thought out. Richard Tyson returns again but only in a flashbacks capacity. There are worse horror franchises than Hayride and truth be told though they aren't good you can do worse. Combined this is a 3hr slasher epic which badly falls short but does have a couple of things going for it. The Good: Follows straight on from the first complete with cast The Bad: Unforgivably boring in parts Defies logic and reason Things I learnt from this movie: Heroes can wear wifebeaters to A dozen stabs in the back can be easily walked off

This movie is just bad from the get-go. The tries to borrow from Halloween 2 but does it unsuccessfully. Every scene is predictable. The lighting and camera work it's so bad none of the settings on my Bravia could help it. This makes me want to give Rob Zombie's Lords of Salem at 10 out of 10 Stars.

If you haven't seen the terrible first part from 2012, don't worry. In the beginning you will see a summary so you can enter the hayride. The positive fact is that the horror is better than in part 1. The killings are done on-camera and we do have red stuff here and there but as in the first part it's a long ride throughout all the talking going on. I saw this immediately after the 2012 version and I had the stop button in my hand but people who knew me do know I sit throughout every flick I see. It's not the worst flick I came across but it wasn't a nice flick. Still, it do deliver a few bloody shots. Only for the geeks of low budget slashers. I'm a horror movie fan, all genres, this was bad. The gore is the only redeemable aspect of this film. The acting is god awful. It seemed like the actors were doing separate monologues and were unaware of the other person's performance. The worst part was the awkward pow-wow between the nurse and the main character that just seemed to last f.o.r.e.v.e.r. Way too long to just say "if you ever need someone to talk to..." It's so bad I'm in complete shock. How do any of these people have jobs? The filter they used on the film is absolutely wretched. One of the guys at the hospital looked like he had orange skin! The camera angles didn't make sense either. It seemed like they were trying to mimic artsy style horror films with odd close ups (at certain times) and failed badly. I do not want to know what Hayride (1) is like. I'm sure it does not deserve a sequel. Please save your money, time and brain cells. Do not watch.
